    Microsoft is pretty much all you can use if you need things like java. Both Chrome and Firefox have broken support for certain plugins intentionally. That's a lot of fun when your banks deposit app runs on Java and you can no longer deposit checks.

    For most people the OS is not what's important, it's all about the applications. If the software you want to use runs on Windows, you are running Windows.

    If you want to game - Windows
    If you want to use a similar system to what you have at work - Windows
    If you want access to the largest library of usable software - Windows


    If your a hipster or an artist you will probably go for a Mac

    Sorry Linux guys but we nerds are really the only ones who can use it on the desktop.

    How many razer's have you owned? I mean you sound like you have no idea what you are talking about, one of the thinnest gaming laptops, aluminum unibody design, nothing at all like the plastic crap everyone else spews out. And no most people are not going to get a laptop with a 17 inch screen.
    Before you cast your dispersion's you should try one (you obviously have not). Battery life aint great but it's better built then anything other then a XPS.
