As far as I could tell, that was just the interface for a particular computer. It might be tiring, but I think the idea is to be able to correlate data in a very fast manner. Other computers in the movie appeared to use a more "traditional" interface.
Well, with the right display, the right lighting, and a tripod, I think you could manage a decent "analog hole" copy. But yeah, a lot of those are crap.
I thought the kilogram was also defined as the (and I'm probably wrong on these figures) mass of a volume of water 1cmx1cm at ocean level? Kind of arbitrary as well, but it's at least tied in.
Well, I had been running ubuntu, and switched back to XP for youtube... Flash 9 for linux is happy news for me, now if I can just get my bluetooth wireless headphones working under XMMS...
Well, I've drawn up maps like that, just rush jobs to drop in a linksys box and a switch for less than a dozen machines, being paid in beer. But that's about the largest job I'd do something like that for.
It was my understanding that it only had a capacitor, to let you switch batteries without losing your time/date settings. I know my 12" alu powerbook won't let me switch out the power supply and battery at the same time, at least...
My Samsung a840 seems to do that pretty well. I got caught in the rain while out on my bicycle, and ended up wiping out and splitting my head open after sliding a couple meters face first into an SUV. The phone took a couple scratches and I then used it to call someone to take me to the hospital, after putting the battery back in.
Yep, they're one of those places. I suppose the bright side is that I don't end up working 10 hour shifts and such.

I don't think there's anything about a minimum of vacation time, at least not for hourly wage earners. I don't get ANY vacation time, so any time I want to take off, I have to figure out how to make up the money.
Won't fit in the 120 character limit for sigs. =)
Get YOUR facts straight, they legitimately purchased those technologies from Xerox.

I would buy something like this, but I admit I don't know how to go about building something like this.
That being said, i'm really glad i do have the pain meds for my wisdom teeth coming in... i can't afford to have them pulled for a couple weeks.
Because with a couple hundred corporations losing millions an hour, it would only take one big bug to bankrupt them?
Not bad, but not quite what I'm looking for, either. Wish I could take it up as a hobby, how expensive is it as a semi-casual hobby?
You glassblow, eh? Do you have pictures of samples of your work?
I'm typing this comment from an even older dell inspirion 8200 that does 1600x1200 @ 15", so his claim doesn't sound that far out there to me.
If the spammers didn't harvest that on their own, I'm sure a dozen people just did it for you. =/

Yeah, I knew that, I just slipped on the order of magnitude. Thanks anyway.

Looney Labs makes some pretty awesome games, for what it's worth.
I tried encrypting my porn once, but my mom found the large file and presumed it was porn and deleted it.
i am aware of this and had such running... it was too slow.

Who's ever heard of a needle in a strawstack, though?

You joke, but I understand that to have been the case with a number of early automobiles.
