    Hopefully there will always be an easier way to download stuff that will attract the masses and make them way more noticable.
    The thing that killed file sharing online was that anyone could do it, was way to easy to use.
    First computer for christmas no prob download napster type a song name in and you are music pirate.
    Total time from newbie to pirate average of 4 days.
    Lots of people have had a comp for years and dont have a clue what usenet is.
    However now its getting way to easy to use , with things like nzb files, par files easy to use clients.

    I long for the old days when usenet was the uncharted wilds and people would be driven away cause you actually had to work at getting anything.

    Remindes me of traveling as a service engineer I had a toolkit that weighed at least 60 pound.
    That thing used to slide down the belt and hit the rail so hard and loud it would make 10 people instantly jump back. never failed to give me a laugh.

    about 5 years ago when I was entering the fray of my own webserver I searched a bit to find what was a good flavour of linux suited to webserving. To my suprise it wasnt a linux flavour but freebsd. Bieng new to the nix stuff I happily setup a bsd box. To my horror i soon learned that bsd was dead. I stopped losing sleep over it after about the 3 year of bsd is dead, now on year 5 any asswipe that says bsd is dead should stand with the same wipes who constantly post whatever stupid saying is going around.
    If you want to be grouped with the same idiots who thought "all your base belong to me" was funny go ahead and keep spouting nonsense.
    I guess maybe you can say bsd dying but in my opinion bsd will take years to die.

    Sorry for the rant as a bsd user it gets tiring listening to the bsd is dead crap.

    remember when routers cost real money.
    I had a freebsd box running as a router at my house.
    And one at my dads and one at my sisters.(sigh)
    The best thing in my life was personal router prices fell it was run not walk to get one for all 3 places. In at least 4 years of my dad having a router i had only one helpme call. ugrade firmware and boom back in business. If the firmware didnt help next step was buy a new one at 39 bucks.
    Lets not go back to fully dedicated boxes for routers.
    theres even more sites online that i would have to get working through the box.

    If anyone asks me about this new great thing about a gaming router im gonna just start sneezing and looking around for somewhere to wipe my hand,that will send em away.
