Use Google to translate English to French to English. I used to do this with a friend on IM. We would translate everything we sent to each other and man would there be some funky stuff.
When I took typing back in high school the typewriters had all the keys painted black. It realy helped when copying text becuase you eventualy gave up looking down and kept your eyes on the book.
I remember Rambus doing something like this. They joined the memory standards group then attended some of the future standards meetings then quit the group and patented tech that the new standards would use. The meeting NDA barred anyone from patenting anything discussed but that didn't stop Rambus.
Youâ(TM)ll be laid off soon when the company dies. From my experience that is what normally happens. At least thatâ(TM)s what happened the last three times I went through the same situation
Win XP Pro comes with Terminal server while Home doesn't. Thus the reason for changing the OS.
The smart pannel needs an OS (CE 3.0) to run the terminal client. So all you are getting is a remote display of what's on the PC's screen.
This type of setup is useless to most people but I've been using this type of thing with my Ipaq for almost a year. I had a 7 W2K servers that I could access from anywhere in the office with my Ipaq. It was verry nice. Now I do it at home. But like I said not a lot of people would find it as usefull as I do.
I used to run a win2k network. I installed it too. Other than viral infections the workstations worked great. Win2k server and active directory sucked ass however.
I'm just wondering why he left the camera in the bulky casing?
I've pulled one apart and rewired the AV/power to a longer cable so the small lense could be mounted apart from the bulky base.
The transmitter itself is a single board with a low profile radio/shield.
The antenna is a 2.4 Ghz directional. It can easily be replaced with an omni directional antana that will give a better transmition as well as lessen the impact on areodynamics.
The batery pack consists of a small circuit board, the clips for 4xAA batteries, and a big bulky case. A lot of space could be saved by getting rid of the big ugly case.
I think it may be possible to mount the whole camera behind the windshield.
"I thought for my own amusement it would be funny to call it something so I called it A Minute's Silence and credited it as track 13 and put my name as Batt/Cage, as a tongue-in-cheek dig at the John Cage piece,"
When I started my current job I converted the network over to win2k (from netware 3.5). I did it for two good reasons: 1) It fit with the company's needs 2) It needs to be watched constantly inorder to stay up.
Now my boss is too afraid to fire me no matter what I do during the day. I admit that I would have a little more free time with a unix network but the job security I get with windows is worth it.
Exactly right. Are these record execs realy this stupid. This piracy prevention does nothing to the guy that downloads the music it only screws over the poor guy that paid for the damn CD.
Let's hope Darwin is right and the RIAA execs all die off soon.
I run my own domain and server too and I use the same adrress system as you. I've found that most ligit places I register at don't abuse my address.
I do however use a junk hotmail account that I use for/. and other possibly risky sites. My hotmail box gets about 200 spams a week but my real box stays very clean.
"For every person who says it might not work, there are 10 saying it does," he said, adding that he's received many congratulatory e-mails since the announcement.
You may not trust that quote but you can't ignore this statement:
The Company will become the world's foremost provider of this state-of-the-art technology
If you have been working on a project like this then you might have read the dvd faq. It mentions some similar projects that died from patent disputes.
Best thing I ever did was get an mcw-462 waterblock. However I have a sink only ten feet from my system. Instead of using a radiator and pump I just spliced a line on the cold water pipe. It is very quiet but only cools the cpu to about 40C but I'm ok with that.
I Had one problem installing it. I have an Asus A7A266 and it has two caps in the way of the block. I had to remove the caps and solder them to some jumer wires to get them out of the way.

Bob, you sound like a real ass!
With all these places going bust will all their equipment end up on Ebay? This may be a good time to start looking for some new toys.
I've been on some long road trips and the nice quiet ride would be great. A quiet ride with a nice stereo would make for a nice trip.
Great info. Thanks for the post.
That would take a while to get used to.
or
Just get a big sub and play a recording of an engine running ;)

After being laid-off and still owed a months back pay, my former boss tried to get some free productivity out of me.
Some people have a hard time understanding that when the paycheck stops I don't give a damn that the company's mail server crashed.

Just a thought.
Couldn't this be considered a parody?
Considering the fuel consumption of an SUV, I would say at least two dogs.

We should declare a geek national holiday in honor of Rick Boucher and his efforts for freedom in technology.
I would like to patent the patent for patenting stupid patents.
Say that five times fast.

Just checked Micro$oft.com and they finally added a link to the patch on their home page. I think they might have read your comment.
Hmm... what does an mp3 look like?
Then get rid of the fast forward buttons on all DVD players and VCRs. They are capable of the same destruction of stories.
