First to finish isn't the winner since they don't all start at the same time.
Right now, the results are:
Red Team - 7h 55m - complete Stanford Racing Team - 7h 58m - complete Red Team Too - 8h 3m - complete
Still a few left but it looks like the Red Team 'won'. It's amazing that all 3 finishers were so close in time to complete. Just refreshed after preview and the times all shifted by a few minutes so results may vary.
I live in the community that Verizon is using as a test bed in Hillsborough County. They were in my neighborhood for about a month.
Before the digging started, we had the nice utility spray lines all over the place. I don't think they heeded them much as we had the usual boil water notices (found on my door a few days after the fact), broken gas pipes, and busted sprinkler lines. They dug some BIG holes, long trenches, and ran a LOT of orange pipe.
Sloopy contractors didn't care much for the destruction caused in the neighborhood. I remember seeing them dump a bunch of loose pipe and debris in the woods behind my house a few days before one of the big hurricanes plowed through here. At least calls to the 800 verizon cleanup number resulted in the resolution of most of these issues.
Two months later, the grass over the trenches and holes is green again and the debris is a memory.
Hopefully soon the fiber will be hot and make up for the disturbance to the 'hood.

# 4 gig mini - $250 - $62.50 per gig # 15 gig iPod - $300 - $20.00 per gig - 11 gigs more for $50 - $4.54 per new gig # 20 gig iPod - $400 - $20.00 per gig - 5 gigs more for $100 - $20.00 per new gig # 40 gig iPod - $500 - $12.50 per gig - 20 gigs more for $100 - $5.00 per new gig
The numbers don't seem apples to apples to me as in a comparision to the new iPod mini as baseline.

I agree that the 15GB is the current sweet spot. Just looking for some crazy reason to justify the new precious..

When I am VO, I can open up any office product just fine. When I am in the office, my RAS dialer pops up anytime I try to open a doc. This results in a 10 minute delay while I wait for whatever is trying to go the public internet timeout. Norton still trys to contact something when I uncheck the office plugin.
netstat was no help as to what tried to kickoff my dialer. I tried to combat this with route statements to no avail!
My God this seems so familar. With the current 'right sizing', everyone is on edge. The other day we lost our UPS but not the normal power. This quote is the only thing I could think of during the time. No phones or IMs to alert for help.
Nope, you missed the link. When you compare the assembly source code from IntyOS to the code that SCO 'contributed' to the linux kernel, you will find a match.
Who is Tim, and what does he have to do with Microsoft and SCO? Will IBM be happy to know about this surprise witness? Did he leak Google's page rank algorithms?
Over the first portion of the end credits is the auto-dialer, playing a new tape of Homer's voice.
Hello, this is Homer Simpson, a.k.a. Happy Dude. The court has ordered me to call every person in town to apologize for my telemarketing scam. I'm sorry. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, send one dollar to Sorry Dude, 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield. You have the power.
Fox did do one thing right (after many wrong things): It removed Futurama from a crappy Sunday at 7pm timeslot and let Cartoon Network have a crack at it. Who the hell watches TV before 11pm anyways?
Wasn't the political pressure from the Reagan cabinet the final straw in pushing for launch on that morning? I think the nerds were overridden that day (even though there were plenty of indication of blow by on that ring in previous launches). The columbia is a bit different.

No, but your for a trillogy would have failed. Should have stuck with the first version.

I am not sure about your problems. I too have this remote and my wife knows to use the macro buttons (the 1, 2, and 3) for various stuff.
Want to turn on the TV, Cable box and Amp (set to cable input)? Press Macro button 1.
Want to turn on the TV, DVD and Amp (set to DVD input), and eject the DVD tray? Press Macro button 2.
Want to turn on the Cable box (set to a music channel) and the amp set with speakers turned on outside? Press Macro button 3.
Even with all this macro goodness, I agree that we are a long way from true convergence.
Twice?
I think this will be the 3rd or 4th time around for some people: Laserdisc, VHS boxed original, VHS boxed SE, DVD...
Bah.
Cork Free Wine, eh? Meet the Rabbit..

I love this thing as it makes opening that 4th bottle painless and cork free.

No more cut fingers or messed up corks. And no, it's not that other 'rabbit' you are thinking about.

That's why I am glad that I have about a two second delay after spellcheck is completed and the message is sent out.
Two seconds is just enough time to yank my ethernet cable out or eject my wifi card.
It helps give you meet that 5th nine of reliability.

Or the 'old granny' bit with a secret room full of machines downloading music and making illict cds for sale on street corners for 5 bucks.
The investigators should have checked for a secret button under the bust of Beethoven.
What is this Kazaa? I'm just a clueless mac user.
Ah, it makes so much sense now.

Any work arounds? This is insane!
I paid for the bloody AV program / defs!

Maybe I missed this the other day, but there is usually a good reposting of wired articles a few days after the mag comes out.

If these people have there way, then it will be free as in beer. Intresting article although my wife isn't buying it.
Homer must have just plugged in the dancing santa to remind them of how it feels in the winter.
Nah, it's not going to transform into a giant robot but after being caught in a hyper space fold, it will become the arm of one!
you mean when they say "it's a sony" it's actually a PC? So confused!

Compare the code!
I just GPL'd my IM called 'Hello World'. Since it's released under the GPL, it kicks Trillian's butt!
Jeoooorb!
You almost got it there. Try adding a few more Syllables or something....

Naked Lunch by Burroughs is a similar book. I read it cover to cover a few times. With that said, it is one of those books that you can:
1. Open
2. Randomly pick a spot in the book
3. Read for a few pages
4. Close
5. Repeat
Turns out just the same as if you read all the pages in between.
To quote the Simpsons: After seeing the movie Naked Lunch, Nelson says 'I can think of at least two things wrong with that title'
