    I thought to use something as fuel in an ion thruster, it has to be able to ionize? Xenon is about as inert as it gets and really isn't useful for anything because nothing reacts with it in any way. In fact, wasn't hydrogen or something the typical fuel for an ion thruster? Can one of the hundred or so ion thruster engineers that are likely here on slashdot (lol) explain it to us?

    Google is rich and powerful. If they were seriously interested in changing patent and copyright laws that stifle innovation, they would put their where their mouth is and lobby for real change. Instead they talk it when it suits them, but they know those some laws can be used to protect their profits. Ergo hypocrisy and no real change.

    Any on devices. Pretty simple really, scan for bluetooth devices at points a,b,c. See devices x,y,z pass at times t1,t2,t2. Solve for speed since distance is known. Viola, congestion report. And a handy database of MAC addresses. Sure, they cant tie them to specific devices now, but subpoena the manufacturer, seller, or after an arrest, and you do have a tracking mechanism for people. However, post warrant/arrest, most people already have a tracking device in their pocket. A mobile phone.
