My experience with Kubuntu is the same. I couldn't change ANYTHING in the damn distro. My screen resolution was wrong, and I wanted my dual monitor setup to work. I could not use the KDE configuration tool to change any settings. I finally had to add a password to the root account, because Kubuntu wants to protect you by not not having a root account. Surprisingly, KDE doesn't configure so well without a root acount.

Now cue the Kubuntu apologists who will tell me either a) I'm an idiot for not knowing to simply ; b) this has been changed in version X; c) why would I need to change the defaults; d) this is the only way to protect me; or e) all of the above.

I actually found Kubuntu more annoying to install and use than Gentoo (starting from stage 1 too), probably because I had my expectations too high. Sure, Kubuntu installed easily enough, I couldn't get it to do what I wanted without fighting me.

I tried using Kubuntu, because I like KDE - not easy. First off, the default screen resolution was 640x480, which isn't a problem except that some of the windows that open during install are larger than 640x480, so you can't read or click on several buttons. Then, you can't actually use the normal KDE configuration menu, because you don't have a root account - so the screen stayed at 640x480 even afterwards. Oh, and Grub wasn't setup right, so (being the lazy sort), I had to use the install disk to boot the system, then select OS. I found a tip on a website that showed how to add a root account password, so I could use the KDE config tools. Then, getting mp3 playback and other stuff was a pain.

It wasn't all bad - getting my dual monitor setup to work was a snap. Kubuntu was fast, responsive, and stable. Notice I said 'was' - that is because I finally gave up - it looked like getting WINE on a 64 bit install is a pain, and plus my NTFS disks wouldn't mount. So, back to Win2k for me. Maybe next year I'll give it another shot.

Cheaters on Online games piss me off the most.

It is not about if you win or lose(loose). But when cheaters are in the game then it is about you just losing(loosing), without a chance to win.

I consider his observations all wrong.(His observations I would consider all wrong.) Too much Yoda

People are jealous(jelious) at the cheater because they don't know how to cheat. Maybe a couple of people but most of the Pissed off people can do it if they wanted to. It doesn't take that much skill to copy what is on the internet.

Second, assuming other people are cheating means you have to cheat too. This is saying other people are breaking laws so I should too.

Third, calling people who complain about cheaters whiners(winers). The people who report cheaters and get them banned are heros in gaming (And gaming companies should give them a month of(a) free service for each cheater they succesfully report). These are people who want to play and enjoy the game. If they lose(loose) fairly they may be annoyed but it is the nature of the game. But having a cheater beat you is just a waste of your(correct use of 'your') time. When going against a cheater your skills will not improve because no matter what you do you fail.

I have been called a cheater before but that was just because I was playing a team game (StarCraft) and I worked will with my team and the other side didn't so the other side lose a painful death while my team won. (Of course after we won(one) the kid said he will get us banned off the internet because his dad owns the internet)

God, why did I do this? I wasted a lot of people's time here. Can't ... resist ... posting ...

So, as a priority to society, it should be way less important compared to protecting the rights of people who experience discrimination on a much more persuasive basis.
