I'd say about 99% of the time people play this game using only their hands. The only time someone uses their feet is if they're trying to be slightly creative. Its usually much easier to just use your hands.
You should look into importing Drum mania / Percussion freaks for PS2. There are quite a few versions of the game available. In addition, it uses 3 "drums", 2 "cymbals" and a bass pedal, instead of just a round drum with 4 sensors in it. The music is also much more challenging. You can find the imported arcade versions at some arcades in the US.
That would be double-layered... not double-sided.:) Can you imagine the headaches it would cause if it were double-sided? "Flip disc now to play the next chapter".
Maybe for people with pretty powerful laptops, but with a horrible graphics chip. Obviously they're not going to be able to get even basic 640x480 OpenGL quality.. but they at least be able to play it.... hopefully?
It also allows you to separate the audio from the video/keyboard/mouse. Often times at work, i switch between machines on my KVM switch, but keep my headphones connected to just one machine because its playing my mp3's:). If the audio was run throught the KVM switch i would probably go insane.
I searched hard for the "duplicate civilian". I think is the guy squatting on the left. Immediately to the right of soldier's knee is that same squatted image. Unless there's something else I'm missing..
Pretty much what I was going to say. There's only x amount of energy, and if the universe is constanly expanding... OOPS! From one of the articles:
"Although NASA's discovery means the universe will go on forever, the same is not true for human life. As the universe expands, all of its energy will be used up."
From the laden-with-detail dept... Is he planning on sending this thing over to afghanistan to take surveillance photos? Now that would be laden... with detail... assuming the camera has an incredible resolution;)
Speaking of renaming a commoon word "net", after attending a microsoft codefest for.NET, they kept referring to "assemblies" as their name for the output of a project. Seriously, why did they choose the word ASSEMBLY? Especially since developers are the main users of the product!
You shoulda checked about a month ago.. it was playing at loews on 42nd street.. stadium seating... in digital (DLP) dubbed.. and non-digital subbed. I saw digital dubbed. It was amazing!
Actually.. after thinking about it some more.. it wasn't a dimension. I think Dell still uses that name.... I'm think it was a Dell Precision.
BTW, it was bought in-store. You picked the one on display that you wanted, and dumped the (heavy) boxes into your shopping cart and paid for it at the register.
I do however remember the custom order kiosks another poster mentioned.
My first computer was a non websoite ordered dell

Dell To Sell To Retailers

"which has heretofore sold only through its website, direct to consumers"
My first PC was a dell dimension 386 SX-25 with 2MB RAM bought back around 1992/1993.. and it was bought at a Price Club.. now known as CostCo. So I'm not sure that statement is entirely accurate..
Here is an article from Newsday . The most fascinating part if how the article strictly talks about cell phones at public performances.. but then a poll asks "Should cell phones be banned in educational and recreational venues?"
As would be expected, most people vote yes, because they read the article and don't pay attention to the actual wording of the poll.
This seesm to me to be a rather extravagant way to achieve a simple goal. Why not just install TVs / LCDs in the cars that show ads? Of course the transportation authority would have to approve it (and lock it down.. i'd imagine and LCD panel in a subway could be very tempting...). But hey... they have animated ads in movie theaters, which are basically big LCD panels... as far as i can tell..
Of course you'd have to put one in every car or so.. which would be alot more expensive than mounting it once in a tunnel. I'd hope that people look out the right window, because if they don't they might watch the animation going backwards.... unless its designed so that it works in both directions;)
That might be because they also have a 35mm projector set up in those theaters? Just a though.. cause I know they do this at the the digital theater by me (farmingdale, NY). They had to show AOTC on 35mm because the projector was broken apparently..
What I thought was interesting was that Microsoft announced a price drop last week to $199, and Sony vehemently denied that they would follow suit.. and so what does sony do? they cut the price before microsoft does.... strange
While this applies for only "lewd or lascivious purposes", it might lead the way for more restrictive stuff...
looking at extremeties:
What if you're worried about your babysitter not treating your child right.... Does that mean you can't videotape their behavior because their in your own home?
What about all those "worlds worst employees" video tapes too...
Immpressive paper folding! Awesome, but did you know they can also fold SHIRTS impressively?
;)
Check out the amazing action here
btw.. i'm not sure if the woman in the video is japanese, but its close enough.. right??
If you think Kite photos are cool, check out some of the pix taken by RC heli pilots with their rigs:

That's a great quote, but wasn't that from Full Metal Jacket?
