I use windows a lot; Linux makes a great server and I use it as such, but in all reality, MS make a good desktop OS for the home user.
OK, back onto topic. Yes, MS said they wouldnt [need to] release any patches this month. So what. If a vuln has been realised, I would rather they sent the patch out than try to keep their word. This is actually a pretty serious vuln (as mentioned above, paypal scams'll love it) and the sooner its patched, the better
OK, I'm probably a bit late in the day for this, but I'll post anyway.
I personally use Tonguewag http://www.tonguewag.com

I think we can all see that this is actually a pretty poor marketing attempt by Microsoft. throwing around terms like $1/4M is going to make people (like the news companies) look up and report about what a good job MS are doing.
I think everyone (well, most of you anyway) in this crowd realise that it is the buggy software that made this possible in the first place.
However, outside of tech circles, MS is highly regarded (and lets be honest, they have done more good than bad overall... please dont hurt me for that) and this will improve their kudos with the people who own the purse strings.
I dont know about elsewhere, but in the U.K. we aren't allowed to use our mobile phones (cell phones) in petrol stations (gas stations) as a "spark" from the phone may ignite petrolium gasses.
I think this is poppycock in theory, but obviously those very clever people in government have some evidince to the suggest this is possible.
What I guess I am saying is, who are right, the Koreans or the Brits? (my money is on the Koreans)
What, I'm meant to actually read all the corporate brochures that land on my desk every day... no doubt he can also save me money on my telephony costs
Teleportation... please, I hate driving/ flying etc. Living in the UK, the roads are always jammed and the trains never run on time, and lets face it, were all a bit dubious about flying.
It'll also be a faster method of getting my pizza to me before it gets cold
Walkie-talkies should be banned as their signals can be picked up by an FM receiver (at least my old action man ones could, although the range was about 3 metres)
They have motion detectors, every time it detects motion it emails a pic/ video to your account.
Having a few of these patroling a warehouse, for example, would be a nice addition to any security system (as well as being exceptionally cool)
Please put down your weapon, you have 90 seconds to comply /wanting one
On machines building machines, obviously starting with the T-100 series
"Ummm I wonder if IBM or Sun have ever had to write an XServer..."
