Point noted, and i agree but this area isn't m$'s schtick just yet.
I won't be surprised if we do see this in the not-too-distant future, the combination of some CA with mikey in an effort to make passport the be-all-end-all solution for eCommerce security and reliance.
Is it strange that m$ still uses verisign, instead of the obvious, making IE trust Mikey signed sigs?
How about this, buy Win2k Advanced Corporate Website Server Secure Edition, get free 128bit ssl signed cert.
the problem is the client. If you have a private key and a browser comes up with an erroneous key, what is stopping someone from doing a mim attack on you because the client can't tell the difference between a faked key and the one that he has to push yes to upon entering the damn site?
unfortunately these companies are trusted, and should be. I don't like verisign anymore than the next person but who else is gonna do it, M$?
OH YEA don't forget the infamous 'enter' or 'return' key after entering your combinations or else the will not run.
and if you need to duplicate something, type 'g' 'p' 'm' and 'enter' to run this special command that allows the use of a 3 button 'attachment' with 'ball bearing' or 'laser' bottom.
I'm glad i stick with console. All we need now is a tactile console. Complete with 101 key 'interface' So i can push the correct buttons in correct order to run a command.
to get a directory all id need to push would be key labeled 'l' and key labeled 's'.
I was wrong. It's easy to say that, but i still don't see why your original reply was needed when i was obviously making just a tiny little bit of light of my own post (in the post), the whole simpsons reference in case u missed it being the last few lines.
It's funny, that you think i said something about opinion. I said nothing about opinion. There is a HUGE difference between opinion and disclosure of private life. Everyone does have the right to an opinion. I have mine and you have yours. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. But private lives should remain private. I JUST DON'T GET IT!
In the case of "Blog", I may not like the term, and as an acronym it's pretty weak, but to many people that is the word that they picked up as a description for what they do and it's a part of the vernacular, oops, language now.
oh yea and could you explain why you think 'blog' is an acronym? Since we're taking the personal insult route, heres the definition of acronym.
acronym n. A word formed from the initial letters of a name, such as WAC for Women's Army Corps, or by combining initial letters or parts of a series of words, such as radar for radio detecting and ranging.
i fail to see how Blog is an acronym.
and about this whole self-righteous thing, who are you to defend every online journal writer. Like you're their leader.
Someone needs to go back to elementary school to learn what the meaning of big words such as opinion and acronym mean.
No im saying this as a reality check. I don't like auto biographies. And most famous people don't deserve them. Just the ones who have had a troubled private life as a result of fame or publisity. Average Joe Schlub doesn't need to need to have an auto biography. But Ms Susie Survivor of Some Grave Thing or Some Targeted Human, does deserve it, because these are 'helpful' and interesting readings.
Anyway, back the whole web jounral thing. As i see it the whole shebang was started by some bored designer trying to have a hobby and a personal site, and now its been blown way out of proportion. Voyeurs and Exhibitionists come to mind. Neither one is really condoned but somehow the public doesn't seem to mind the exhibitionists but really shun the voyeurs. Although they arent all that different (they just disclosure of humanity), some for personal gain others for curiosity.
I don't get it either. I dislike everything that weblogs stand for. I don't care about other people's daily life. I don't care what happened to somebody on the street. I don't care about what one person finds funny about this waiter at his/her favorite restaurant. These things should be left to his/her self, like a diary.
The only reason i can see that someone would want to have a log of their daily life, is for an auto-biography, which should be left to someone who has been in the public eye quite a bit, and whos private life has been affected by it. Face it, most everyone that does one of these online journals is just not interesting. I even hate the stupid word 'blog' that people use to describe them. Its just a buzz word that stupid people use to sound important, like 'proactive' and 'paradigm.'
If we go with option 2. then why would we even need a circular shape?
wouldn't it be more effecient to rid the old circular shape and instead come up with some kinda square shape that could containe more information because of the corners?
"James Kliesch, researcher for the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, a nonprofit think tank in Washington, agreed with that assessment.
He said bio-diesel is interesting, but there isn't nearly enough of it to keep U.S. motor vehicles moving. Instead, the automotive industry is moving toward hybrid-electric cars to boost gas mileage."
straight from it.
please read before u make comments otherwise u look like a fool, if this happens.
Yea they could save bandwidth. You should send them a letter with the ips ur getting it from and say they need to do something about it. Except of course they might find out that ur running a server urself, and they might ToS u.
I just like to see em in my logs. My little log rotater / analyzer works like a dream;D.
Alright, Alright, I'm sorry. I was the one who crashed WorldCom. I hacked their gibson and looked in the garbage file using one of the 4 most commonly used passwords. In the garbage file i was able to find the worm. I disassembled their worm and found that it led to a machine called a 'WOPR' where i was able to backdoor that machine with the user 'Joshua' I almost started world war 3, until i had to help the govt out.
They then asked me to find a little black box, which i found at some math guys lab. It was easy. Until i found out what was on it, i could decrypt anything in the us! Thats when the shit hit the fan! I accidently gave the box to my old friend turned mafioso. But i was able to retrieve it before he could do any harm. and i gave it back to the nsa with a few gifts of course for the team of 'sneakers'.
Boy all this went on while i was battling an evil monopoly trying to control the media with his software. But i was able to grab their source code and distribute it over their own network of cable companies! While at the same time making a name for me and my friends!
Wow this has been a busy life for this 25 year old.
they have cancelled out every location in the us in which springfield could be located. Just do a little research and find that it truly is not able to exist.
why the hell would they buy a distro instead of make their own? This buyout doesn't make any sense to me if it is true because its not all that hard for a company such as this with the power of a lot of programmers to program their own distrobution. Corel did it so can they! There could be some hidden intentions with the linux market here. i wouldn't take this too lightly; however, i could just be paranoid.
Beware the ides of march.
like someone from an earlier post said my slackware box will be forever safe, and hopefully fully upgrading if slack survives. Plus this buyout of redhat further proves my point that redhat is trying to be the linux solution to the windows (ms rather) problem, a dumbed-down version so to speak. Windows is a necessary evil. Until x gets better about less bugs and ease of use i will forever have a single windows box.

verisign isn't the only cert my main man. the fact is this IS a browser issue, because Opera (best written browser) isn't vulnerable to it.
precisely the problem, he would just be adding to their frustration by making their clicking proceed commonplace. :(

the problem is this was on bugtraq way before it was on the register :(
Howto: Land this Plane using Kernel 2.4.18.
or how about
landinggear --help

wow what a great innovation.
ok, this is good.
Now i see some substance.

guess we didn't read the article.

trollio trollio go back to ur homio.
this is just nostalgia, a good reminder of what piss poor security can do to the internet.
i am pretty sure those are nimda.
agreed.
/me cries
this is a very sad day.

this begs the question, mac osXP ?
If not it should be. ;D
its not anywhere. which is the joke.
they have cancelled out every location in the us in which springfield could be located. Just do a little research and find that it truly is not able to exist.
i think thats what shaldannon means when "hemorrhage" was stated. I took it as being very profitable.

that is all.
Forget the above rules and use java.
no.
