You know, I think the Lawyers are on our side FOR ONCE. They are milking SCO dry. Anyway I could contact them so they would have to bill SCO? I know, lets SLASHDOT the Lawyer office, and make sure that they bill SCO.
Better be quiet, FBI might come knocking (*AGAIN*)
What I do is have the camera takes shots every 10 sec or so, and save to a static file. VisionGS does a great job with this.
After that, just make as lightweight of a autorefreshing page as possible, and then you can just point your phone browser to it. It works very well actually, and VisionGS can archive the shots, so you can have a record or what went on.
So now instead of just a few hours with a current computer, it will take a bit longer, maybe a week or something. Then someone will figure out that the key string is MAC dependent based on time signitures, or something, and there we go, no more security.
I have no illusions about the "security" of WiFi, no matter how encrypted it may be. The signal is traveling through open space for anyone to look at, and if you look at enough of the signal, you can find the pattern. This just increases the processing power needed by the AP and Card, further pushing the development of more advanced, procs. (Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this)
I understand that corperations are interested in this for security, but for an average joe like me, I keep my access point wide open for anyone to use. If you want to look at my GF's reciepe's or our photos, go right ahead.
Security is only as important as you make it to be.
This might sound good and all, but comon, this just reinforces common sense.
Ok, if country A has lots of money, then they can train thier athletes. If country A has had good athletes before, it stands that they will have good athelets in the future.
The question I ask, did this predict Thorpeo's upset of the American swimmer? I think not
Unfortunatly, many brilliant plasma physists are now out of work and have no income in Russia. Here is a link to one of the institutes that previously was funded laviously by the Soviet Union, but since its dissolvement, it now is a shadow of its former self.
Dear sir or madam, According to my records, you seem to have "WAY TOO MUCH MONEY" and this needs to be remedied. Please donate all you can to me, a POOR COLLEGE STUDENT.
Seriously, this would be cool, but I'm sure there are less expensive ways to do this. Hey guys, are there ways?? I wouldnt mind hanging a Flatpanel on my wall, use it as a small TV, or a touchscreen control. Hmmmmm....
I will have to guess, 7. Just because its a great number.
But seriously. Emulators are the way to go. I know that w/ Microsofts new initiative to let linux apps run in Windows, emulators are going mainstream. Yes, for all you anti-MS people, Windows is mainstream.
I was looking for the article about Windows Linux thing, but I cannot seem to find it at the moment.
While it's true that they are getting far less expensive since when they came out, they are still out of range for me. I would LOVE to have a pen based tablet to take notes on while in class (at university), but I don't want it to be my primary computer. I'm too poor (need beer money) to spend all that money on an overpriced notebook. Anybody have any ideas?

Walmart has a great DIVX player for REALLY Cheap. Here's a Link
I bought one a few weeks back and it plays pretty well.
Smartest post I've read in a while.
Now to fulfill the character quota...there we go

Do you have any good links on this?
I for one, don't want a color screen. I want a battery that lasts me a month. I'll deal with a small, effective, elegant monochrome screen.
Just my two bits.

And a very logical answer. Thank you.
Now I really should go get some coffee
827778 You receive a "There was an error updating the Registry" error message when you start Sound Recorder.
Thats a personal favorite of mine. What the hell does sound recorder need to update the registry for?
There are lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics.

You're mama is a dark matter power reactor. ....
Where the hell did that come from?
Hell, Stick it in South Carolina. Nobody will care, not with the Laws here.
I do wonder what would happen if I did the blind interesection rule...

A shame.

Its funny, cause its true.
Thanks for the tea covered keyboard.
This has got to be wrong.
I'm going to put this down w/ the flying car and Duke Nukem Forever.
Me too. I was imagining briefcases full of worthless paper, gavils, and thier owners floating up in space.
And about the BMWs, leave them here for me.
I'd let them increase my taxes if they got rid of the lawyers. But alas, never going to happen as the tax increasers (politicians) are lawyers.

Not true. I'm sure this can be written off as a tax deduction. Something akin to a donation.

The scariest part is that I LIVE IN CHARLESTON TOO!
Now I need to find him, or atleast take a picture of him flying like that.
It does explain that Cessna 172 (182?) flying low around Charleston.
What OS are you using? I have a similar Laptop that i would want to turn into an internet station.
Didn't think about this. Very good point. Probabbly cheap this way too.
One question though, other than the "NIMBI" issue, why don't they use Hydrogen?
why use nitrogen as a lifting gas. Everytime I pour nitrogen gas, it settles to the bottom. Maybe they have magic nitrogen.
Long Live Pioneer 10. It is amazing to think that a human creation has traveled so far and survived so long.
/Rant
Built back when things were made to last, Pioneer 10 (according to WiKi) was still used as a training platform just a few years back.
And the two Mars rovers are a reminder that smart people still are working for NASA, as they have out lasted anyone's prediction.
Makes me proud
