Yes, that maybe so, but there is no home VOIP cordless phone that I've seen. The killer app for this is a cheap way to integrate your current cell phone into your home 802.11b network, so when you are at home, you call through your WiFi connection. That router is acting like a Digital-Analog converter, sending your voice to the regular POTS. I'm in the market for a cordless phone system right now, any suggestions? (Its for my parent's house, nothing too expensive, but it needs to be long range and cool looking)

I see a pretty decent looking PC by the garbage cans as I carry out my refuse. Printer, Monitor, keyboard, mouse, and ofcourse the case. I take the case home, plug it into a monitor and start her up. Its a PIII 500, elated, I wait for the boot. Windows begins to boot, but it has some errors after you get into it. My hypothesis, Windows stopped working correctly, so they thought they needed a new one. Oye.

Cost myfriend, cost. If you figure the amount of time and money it would take to rewire an airliner, PLUS take into account the weight of all that cable, it would be a no-go decision real fast. The airlines are not making money right now, cheap people like me make sure of that (MYR-CLT-BOS $159!!). They need a cheap easy way of charging thier customers for something they want anyway. The easiest way to do this is with WiFi, hands down.
