    That's a pretty radical view imo, and very subjective indeed. This statement is clearly made from the point of view, and that an atheist as such is understandable, yet wrong. Perhaps some of us simply don't care, or tend more towards the agnostic approach, or are simply of the opinion that even if there is a higher being that spoiling your sunday sitting in a cold building listening to someone who has no clue whatsoever is not exactly what that higher being had in mind...

    We are God's work as well. If He did not want us to do this, he should not have made us capable. That's assuming He exists, but we'll stay away from that argument for today. Also, I don't think you can describe a pig as perfect. They do, as you mentioned earlier, roll around in their own feces.

    But these evil thoughts have been fed into our minds by Satan, or at least that's the excuse I get everytime I make exactly the same remark to a believer...

    Not really. Mozilla is based on Gecko, which is simply an engine, on which you could build just about anything. Much like the tons of games that have been built using the Quake3 engine...in other words, using the actual engine behind Mozilla, you could code a Spreadsheet Editor, Word Processor, Instant Messaging Program, whatever...

    5.5 is ok. 6 works out fine for me too. However, I still consider Mozilla to be superior, due to having an e-mail client that isn't the prime target of every half-crazed virus writer on the planet, an irc client I can sneakily use at work :P and the glory of tabs.....not to mention the possibility to disallow Javascript to open up new Windows...

    * Makes disk image

    * Distributes disk image

    * Hides in cave for 20 years

    1) doing everything it can to lose weight so as to be able to do what society is asking of it.
    2) after long anorexic periods jumping off a bridge, inventing the concept of gliding half way, slowly setting down on the water and then taking digital anti-depressants until it shuts down.

    A lot of these users still have old systems and Moz is quite a resource/memory hog.

    Why would AOL users have slow systems? From what I see they are the same kinda people who get a completely useless "More Megahertz Inside "(tm) processor shoved down their throat by that PC World/Walmart/whatever salesman, so they should have plenty o' processing power.

    Yeah well, Win98 had a bad range of shutdown problems itself. As far as I'm concerned the biggest drawback to 98 is its ability to cache more than 256 MB or ram though, resulting in badly decreased performance...

    The people claiming that ME is inferior to Win98Se obviously do not know how to make it work, much like all the die-hard windows users claiming *nix sucks because they can't get it to work either. As for Winxp, I installed it on our proxy/firewall/kazaa/game server, started all the applications, ripped out the keyboard, mouse and monitor, and now only login with remote access every now and then to check the status of my downloads. I put it there 3 months ago.

    There will be. You don't really think that once Linux has "won" the zealots will settle down right? Then it will be Debian vs. RedHat vs. SuSe vs. etc. etc. People will always find an excuse to consider what they do superior to what somebody else does.

    Win95: Nice first attempt at copying Mac OS.
    WinNT: Reliably as ever. Made even more reliable with 7 entirely free service packs. Now how's that for service?
    Win98: Win95 with some additional crap. Only "good" system? Remember the ruckus when they integrated IE? Were you shouting along?
    WinME: Takes long to boot up? BS. With a little tweaking (a whole lot less than configuring a *nix box though) I had my desktop in front of me within 20 seconds of touching the power button. Necessary upgrade from Win98 if you have more than 256 MB of Ram in your machine.
    Win2k: Stable but slow. Makes use of system resources rather efficiently. Bad driver support from hardware manufacturers for a very long time.
    WinXP: Win2k for home users. Shiny colors. Chicks dig Winxp.

    Many a sci-fi hero has emerged victorious by hiding in a cave while two opposing giant bad robots battled to their mutual death, so WalMart vs Microsoft is a good thing no matter how you slice it.

    Just one minor problem, this is happening in what most people refer to as "the real world", and not in a cheap paperback...

    Did you ever take a good look at those guys after they spent a couple of hours in a car, reflexes on edge 100% of the time, guiding a metal beast through horrible corners at speeds where you have 1/10th of a second to react in order to avoid hitting the guy in front of you, while a burning engine is located right behind you, and you take 3 or 4 G on your neck muscles every time you take a corner? Obviously you never spent 15 minutes in a kart, otherwise you'd know exactly what I mean...
