    It's most definitely possible to get passwords out of someone who's alive.

    That sucks that you can't be WebScale enough with the Pi and terabyte sized MongoDB assets. I'm in a similar situation. The Z80 in my TI-83 won't run Crysis 4, even though I requested it. We are truly pitiful victims here. Life is so hard...

    The magic pixie dust is in their autonomous driving division in Pittsburgh. I see their magic robot cars all the time, and even rode in one once. It was one of the coolest birthday gifts from a friend who's an engineer at Uber's ATC.

    As an aside, I love Pittsburgh and not just because the mild winter freezes out the weaklings. We get to do fun things here while affording a 2 bedroom house with garage for around $1000 a month. Commute times are generally around 20 minutes. Whenever I hear stories about engineers making over $100k a year living in their cars, I simply can't understand.

    I could have sworn that I read about this at least 5 years ago, maybe more. Isn't this rather old news?

    Many people's memory doesn't stretch back for more than 2 weeks. A refresher course in privacy rights and Constitution issues, for them, is never too soon.

    I could see how some detestable people would try to Cathy Newman the argument into, "so you're saying that you want to protect criminals?" There also was no economic motivation to Best Buy for them to protect client privacy from the government. Why would anyone assume that they would act any different?

    Odd... At my company, people are judged on the quality of their work, and not which institution that gave them an expensive piece of paper years ago. I much prefer the meritocracy I've found myself in that your situation.

    If I have one, why should I buyonr? It will g good enough to surf and mail. Watch youtube and use social media apps. That is what most use it for.

    And uf you bought a new phone in themean time, you use that.

    Use it for something more? Use a PC or at least a portable.

    Maybe the tablets have better spell checkers than what you're using? In the meantime, change your sig to "Do not fight for your covfefe, if your covfefe does not covfefe for covfefe."

    The AP CS course back then thought me nothing. By the time I was old enough to take it, I was already way past it. One of the "hardest" tests was creating a linked list with pointers with some simple user input/output. Not particularly "advanced" and was very disappointing. My suspicions are that students who rely on elementary and high schools to teach them about computers, in any capacity, aren't learning much. They're also robbing themselves of the time when it'd be easiest to pick up the core concepts.
