The companies that wanted to spam were in SEO and selling Tickets.

I've also not used any 3rd party .NET applications other than the ones I've written and components for applications I've written.

Also, there are many sites out there using ASP.NET Websites and Web Services that you can get to with any OS and any browser.
    Same with Java though right?

So what exactly is your point or for that matter anybody's point in this entire thread? 2 different tools. A developer focused on Windows would never use Java, a developer focused on Multi-Platform would never use .NET. A developer focused on the web would use whatever is best suited for their current project.

very well put, albeit with a few typos, though I can see how this game can be seen as propaganda. U.S. was dammed if they did and damned if they didn't on the whole Iraq thing. Either the U.S. let Saddam make a fool of it or ignore the rest of the world and take out Saddam. I am pleased because they took the "kicking-ass" solution because to tell you the truth, I'd rather those people be "free" than making France and the rest of the world happy. I put free in quotes because no one is really free, but they are more free then they used to be. They now have an opportunity to do something with their lives, whether or not they choose to is their problem. Just like in the U.S., you can be a bum or you can be a CEO, there is very little distinction between a bum and a CEO at child birth.

That said, I wish the U.S. would put the government in place and a governing board to overwatch the government/police/etc so they don't abuse any their powers for a little while. The longer the U.S. is there, the more U.S. casualties we will have and I'd rather not see that. I have a lot of respect for those in the armed forces and I know right now they are completely defenseless.

BTW I grew up under an oppressive regime (Romania), so I know that things will suck for a little while in Iraq until people get used to the thought of being "free". Trust me, living an okay life under an oppressive regime where anything you say might be considered as an act of treason and punishable by death, is much worse than living in a life where the only barrier to your happiness is yourself.

before they got taken off of the website. I think the GBA backup device is awsome. I admit to trying games before I buy them, especially when my little brother wants a new game. I download the game onto the cart let him play with it, if he likes it tell my parents to buy it for him. This way, he doesn't waste my parents money by buying games he will never play. Almost half of his GB collection he didn't play more than 2-3 days because the games sucked.

Just like with all technology, there are good uses and illegal uses. Everything from pencils to guns can be used for good or "evil". Banning devices like this is retarded because the backup device really has good uses (I'm not saying mine is a legal use, I guess it should be but I understand it is not), but there is a rather large community of homebrew developers making games and other applications for the GBA that depend on the backup device to run their code (well they can run their code in emulators, but its just much cooler to do it on an actual GBA).

Anyway, this sucks... I don't think its Nintendo's fault, I think it's the judge's fault. Nintendo just wants to make more money, can't blame them for trying especially since there are many people using the backup devices for pirating.

Unless you count the expense of the Hard Drive and the Broadband adapter... both which are impossible to get for the PS2 (the hard drive is not even out in the US and probably never will be)... that means EA and all PS2 only developers are coding features that only a sliver of the market will use.

On the Xbox, developers know the consumer has an ethernet card and a harddrive already, so they feel more comfortable coding features that will make use of those even though the consumer might not have XBox live.

Besides, what do you think a kid is more likely to want to say ... "Hey Mom and Dad, can I have $150+ for an addition to my $200 PS2?" or "Hey Mom & Dad, can I get $10/month to play games online? ... the first year is free."
