That's interesting. All of this is unfortunate though, because it does burden someone who isn't doing something wrong if they get blocked by accident. I bet it is a nightmare trying to get it unblocked, also.
Try a Palm IIIe, and get an old keyboard with it off of eBay. You could get that whole package for about $30-$40 bucks, and it would probably work better than a generic made word processor.
I agree, sometimes it is better to just use the stinkin' pen and paper.
I've tried a Tungsten E, and everytime I needed to write something down, it took longer than it should have. Then when I needed to look it up (like my password), I could never find what I wrote.
Pop a little pack of post-its in your pocket and your set!
I typically like to use about 3-4 passwords that I rotate between sites, with different usernames. If I forget one of the passwords, I can usually guess it on the second try.
My passwords are at least 6 letters, and 6 digits. Hopefully, that is secure enough.
I don't understand this. I am posting using fedora core 2, and using the Orinoco wireless PCMCIA drivers. Fedora set them up perfectly (other than my compaq laptop hating my pcmcia connection using many IRQ's). This is after I tried setting them up in Mandrake 10.0 with no luck.
They would just print a shortened manual on a single sheet of paper. There is no reason to ship the whole manual. An old rental place called Video Update did that exact same thing for many years.
That's Odd, I was looking for job postings in Duluth, MN a few days ago and didn't even find one close to as high paying as that one...
Too bad Duluth has maybe three high-tech companies with 20 employees each. It would be a great town to live in and work using my MIS major, instead of a hotel or restaurant, like I currently do...
I didn't even know there were links to articles in summaries. Where are these so called articles?
:)
Is that what people keep posting about?!?
I've been reading articles on how this will actually compete with the next-next generation of media (after the HD DVD, and Blu-Ray debacle).
Let's hope that this technology can actually be manufactured cheaply.
Also, what type of error correction will they have in this? If I scratch my disc, am I going to lose a gig of data (ouch, if true).
I was hoping that it would have been a derivative of Mac OS X. Now that would have been a story worth reading (if true).
Could you imagine Microsoft getting in bed with Apple. ewww...
That makes sense, I could see how this would be a big scam.
Almost like the vendors charging $15 to ship a DVD.
I think eBay needs to work on their search feature. It would be nice to see what the bidding is at with shipping included.
Is there a hack that can do this?
I already do charge a tax at my yard sales.
Turns out I forgot to send in the taxes.
I bought a beer instead.
I think it's a Media Company in the United Kingdom.
I could be wrong though...
I really wish I had been old enough to actually use the BBS's. It would have been pretty fun to start out that way.
Instead, I had to start out with Compuserve, and then moved to AOL.
Anyone else read that and wonder how he pulls legos from comics?
Then came the dissapointment that the story wasn't actually about Legos.
After that came the denial, I double checked that the story wasn't about legos.
It isn't.
I wonder if he has all this set up just to read Slashdot. I know I would go through the trouble to keep up on nerdy news.
Sir, could you reply to this from your satellite internet in the bush.

Maybe it's the new trend.
Maybe pen&paper AD&D will be cool again!

They already have their set of *Development* related copies of Tiger from the shipment that was *accidentally* released early by *PC*mall.com.
The early shipment was *coincidentaly* shipped to a PO BOX in Redmond...
Sounds like you guys are getting a lot done at work today!
I can picture it now. A bunch of techy geeks sitting in front of a computer going...hmm...I've got another one! Listen to this one guys...
I wish I could have been there!
Are you guys taking resumes?

Make a detour up to Duluth. I'm pretty sure my landlord who set up our wireless doesn't know what WEP is. :)
