    Read again, the clerk should be calling the store's bank, not the customer's bank.

    Argh, bad math. 3 axis, square root of 3 = 1.73... so a 73% boost.

    Was it really 2x faster? I thought that it was only 41% faster. Vector math: square root (1^2 + 1^2) = 1.41...

    With three axis, you'd get a 44% boost. cube root of (1^3 + 1^3 + 1^3) = 1.44....

    Try this, it should work:
    1. with engine running, step out of car with keys in hand.
    2. close door, and lock it from outside with physical key.

    It's a great idea. If you throw in a bluetooth dongle onto your car's OBDII port, then you can have your phone app automatically collect stats from the car computer *while* sampling engine noises at various modes of operation:

    engine startup
    idling
    various points in the RPM range
    etc...
