I robot was a good action flick with fuck all to do with the compilation of short stories (none of them named "I, Robot") using the same title, except for (Again) the names of some characters and the 3 laws.
"Hell, the first time I saw those credits roll I thought "Is this some kind of joke?" You know, the kind of joke Lucas Arts adventures love to pull or perhaps Eternal Darkness ("Thank you for playing, to be continued in Eternal Darkness 2!" randomly placed after finishing a chapter)"
That wasnt random at chapter end. That was one of the results of letting your sanity hit bottom.
The problem with an RPG from the POV of someone who sometimes cant touch it for months between sessions is there is now method inside the game to remind you where you are or of your goals. A tiny few have some kind of journal/loggin of quests or events and that helps a whole lot.
"The HD isn't innovative because it allows the saving of games, but because it allows:
1) Video games to have some drive cache for textures/sounds/whatnot and not have to hit the optical drive constantly.
2) The download of mods and map plugins for existing games. (Look at what they did with Ninja Gaiden... three downloadable mods, you buy three games for the price of one.)
3) The ripping of CDs which you can later use for videogame soundtracks. Admittedly, not many games made use of this feature, but I enjoyed it in the games that did. (Rob Zombie makes a good videogame soundtrack, no matter what the game.)"
PC gamers have been able to do all this since the CD-ROM was introduced.
MAny people are lucky to be able to buy one game a month if that. Most people are so far behind on game wishlists they can never catch up short of winning the lottery or subscribing to gamefly.
Explain how the number of games released per month means anything? Do xbox and ps2 release 12-14 blockbusters every month? Do you spend $750 to $1400 a month on games? If you do you are the minority.
Bangbros are the mysoginists who run bangbus are they not? Fuck if one group of people ever dies a slow horrible death I can only wish it's them. Sorry while they do produce porn, they are barely above the serial rapists at collage fuck fest (they are stupid enough to tape what amounts to rape).
So far (about to get my 60K big service) my type 1 Prius (2002) has been average in service cost, compared to my last car it's been cheaper to service so far.
I don't know if everyone who hated it noticed. The film was a re-make of Night of the Living dead. But instead of a rural setting right in the city. The lead up of events matches pretty well and there are many referenced to Night. Most people live their lives like a zombie (Shaun looking in the mirror at the start) and are so caught up in whats going on in their life they do miss major important things outside of it, until events intrude on the bubble of a life they live. I think if you have not seen Night then you will not get quite a bit of Shaun
"There are plenty of smart techie people who think MS gets a bad rap for a lot of things."
Well he is neither smart or techie. He may qualify as a person but from the quality of his "journalism" I have a hard time agreeing with even that classification. From my experience his type only has the opinions he is paid to. If he does not like being painted that way then he should look at what/how he writes.
"Another pet peeve - I wish videogames would let you play back cutscenes you've already seen. It's not like I'm going to play it all in one sitting, so I'd like to be able to review the plot and stuff."
Some do. Try Eternal Darkness. You can play through 3 times (to get the final ending cutscene) and each run through has a set of cutscenes (the ones that are comon to each dont get duplicated). In the games menu you can watch any cutscene you have seen in the game.
In WW you are not link, you are some kid that ends up having to dress in silly ceremonial clothing from a legend and go save the world. I had a lot of fun doing it. It seams to me far to many people think every Zelda games "Link" is the same and has to exist in the same time line.
I dunno, the ending was kind of a jaw dropper. Not jsut the stabbing in the head bit. King of Hyrule is a total bad ass that Gannon(no matter what you call him) should not have messed with, even if he is slow to anger.
Also Laser Disk was still in use long after it "died" here in the states. Most of the good LD transfers and releases had to be imported from Japan during the last years of it's life. Word is the LD of Phantom Menace is one of the best quality produced. I wonder how it compares to the DVD? The PS2 I think is what killed LD in Japan after so long.
If you looked arouns, you will find that Creatures and CAts/Dogs were incredably popular PC games here in the States and I suspect in other parts of the world. These types of games have a wide appeal to people who are onthe fringes of gaing and is a much larger group then actual gamers. YOu will see them bought for kids by parents, toyed around with by parents and sometimes loaded at work.
The trick to watching GRave is to watch it like they did in Japan, as a double feature with Totoro.

You are teh funny!!!!1! Is ripping on animation framerate the only way you can achieve any kind os sexual release? Go watch some real animation like Spirited Away or Kazemakaze Tsukikage Ran, most animation has something like 24 FPS. If you see something cheaply made with lots of static frames, it was a low budget TV show. I dont see you endlessly ripping on US produced cartoons that are made jsut as cheap, use just as many static frames and re-use plenty of shots.
Watch Roujin Z for a movie about the elderly and the introduction of a "bed" that takes the place of a traditional nurse.

IBM racks and servers (all weighing in above the numbers you list) come bolted to a pallet with cardboard on the top/sides and a tip-over indicator.

I'm not an apple fantic (I dont even have a Mac) but how is 2.7 GHZ not even close to 3 GHZ?
Don't forget that sexy cheer leading leads to AIDS!
Funny thing is that Americans form groups and band together to consume Japanese pop culture.
Most people I know of who bought the virtual pet software like Catz and Dogz were adults.

Correct, XXX is mostly used to denote alcahol or poison (go watch some old films and cartoons).

That isnt System of a Down! How do so many people get this wrong?
The song was made by The Rabbit Joint. You can download a remix of it from here.

So far I've found Star Wars games to be of more variety and much more fun on the PC.

Keep in mind that the Gamecube uses a PPC based processor so the jump up to the Revolution isn't as big a deal as it is for the Xbox360 and PS3.
