So my question is, since even in his letter he leads off talking about his new projects he's working on showing what his true motives are (free publication), how long has he known and sat on it?
The only thing wrong is that it's the banks playing field and they set the rules...

But you are wrong, when other people buy it I most certainly lose. In our society buying something is analogous to voting for it. The more people that vote for it the more pervasive it'll become in our society. If not enough people vote for it then it may make the manufacturer bring it back to the drawing board and wonder why.
I agree 100%. Car manufacturers tried the closed source route too and the courts had to tell them to open up their computer codes. If I give you money in exchange for something I don't expect to be able to tell you how to spend YOUR money.

Only to name a few white terrorists. I'd actually guess that if counted white people have terrorized more than most others combined. Especially if you take into account that bombing civilian areas are a form of state sponsored terror... which white people have been doing steadily for the past 60 years.
So why is he using State property for personal gain? My guess is his logs for his website were way too boring.
Shouldn't there be some agency in Florida who does not want their logs posted, even in cartoon format, in an internet video. I'm guessing this is probably either the Florida Dept. of Revenue or the Florida Dept. of Financial Services.
And which administration has taken a tough stance on cyber crime? Don't get me wrong, I don't like any politicians. But the Chinese have been bombarding companies and government agencies inside our borders for many years now.
Since when is 11 months a short time until the release of a product? It shouldn't even be being discussed this far out. If it was maybe a month or two until the release, some anticipatory articles would be fine. But this just smells of more bullshit hype or "viral marketing" for the Volt, which has already had previous premature media campaigns.
If you're going to release a product, just release it! Don't crap on about what you plan to release one day.
Hype - it's important and sometimes required to get your product off the drawing table. Case and point: Duke Nukem Forever!
Only if the public wakes up and helps out. Props to this guy for not shutting his mouth, but there have been plenty of other people who continued to speak out only to have the public more worried about the bread and circuses.
Today, introductory courses in computer science are too often focused merely on teaching students to use software like word processing and spreadsheet programs
Singular, not plural.

I went to a crappy private catholic high school 16 years ago but, luckily, our first course was in GW Basic. My girl just took a Computer Science class at the local community college and all she went through was Word, Excel, Access. It made me kind of mad, cause all she really learned was where to find all the menus in the new version of office.

The idea that you'd rather be in jail than live without a computer may only be insightful outside the slashdot crowd.

Your just talking crazy now.
I'd have them speak to the children.
I looked in a drop of ocean water and found no life. There must be no life in the ocean.
I've never had any trouble getting any Source games to run under linux, usually faster than then did under native windows.
This is not the first internet based anti-piracy tool circumvented. There have been plenty in the past.
Secunia doesn't provide software for vulnerability management do they? Why look they do! How ironic!

And, unlike natural diamonds, man-made diamonds are perfect. Which of course De Beers turns into a positive marketing spin.
Also many less children DIE from harvesting mad-made diamonds.

I can do my job without punching you in the face. So the FBI can also do their job without side-stepping our laws.

Or gave the money to the car manufacturer
But it did take a lot of time to build up the in game credits to buy those ships. And you do literally pay real money for time in game.

This guy better not download any illegal music. They'd find him and fine him quickly.
Amen to parent. I've never quite understood what good XML brought us.
