What's with all the people who claim not to like MS yet stick up for them violating the GPL? Well at least they're in compliance now BS. They only complied because they were caught. Here's the obligatory car analogy: You're speeding and see a cop so you slow down. Does that mean you've done nothing wrong? The whole point of this followup article is to point out that they only complied BECAUSE they were confronted about it. And as far as I know they're still not in full compliance, they need to distribute the code and the license WITH the driver from what I know.

  20. Re:Really on Computerized Election Results With No Election · · Score: 1

In contrast an electronic election is mostly _hidden_ to observers. So it should be suspicious by default.

Why do they need to be mostly _hidden_? It's just that systems today, made by private corporations, are hidden. They can be made to be more open to the public, while retaining security. It is easier to tamper with electronic votes, but at the same time it should be easier to track tampering with those same electronic votes if the system was open and available for the public to monitor.

I have plenty of good projects with good outcomes. If you can't sell yourself or your opinions, then you'll probably be put in more positions where your better judgment tells you what you're doing is wrong.
