Search for 'joker' then, there are thousands of pictures of the Joker, some straight from "The Dark Knight". If it was truly for copyright violations they'd take these down as well wouldn't they?
Why couldn't we just make a giant plot of solar panels on the moon? We'd need more batteries to store the charge but why not take advantage of the nuclear reactor we've already got?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not some hippie opposed to nuclear reactors. I guess 14 days without light is a problem though...
One of the favorite times with my son was the constant question asking phase, what I didn't know we would make a computer adventure of it and he got to use the mouse to click on what I pointed at, and later what he could read himself. Sadly most other people I know either answer with 'Because', 'God did it', or 'I don't know' and discourage all the followup questions.
It ran perfect for me as well. Well I guess not 100% there was some weirdness with turning some of the knobs smoothly with the mouse if I recall. Check the Wine AppDB they'll have the solution to get it running.
Why not just automate all cars? Then it wouldn't matter if you were blind or not. We have the means to do it, and the resources, just maybe not the MONEY...
Time driving would be cut in half, and while you were in transit you could spend your time doing other things besides cussing out someone cutting you off or that blind person driving
1. They don't charge for those side products, if you don't like them don't use them. Unlike overpriced software you're forced to deal with because it truly does have a monopoly on office software.
2. The first step to anything google is to manually go to google.com. Microsoft comes installed into almost every premade computer, with it's own software like IE and Outlook pre installed as defaults and using their services as default.
3. Google gives a very clear policy on what information they save and why.
What's with all the people who claim not to like MS yet stick up for them violating the GPL? Well at least they're in compliance now BS. They only complied because they were caught. Here's the obligatory car analogy: You're speeding and see a cop so you slow down. Does that mean you've done nothing wrong? The whole point of this followup article is to point out that they only complied BECAUSE they were confronted about it. And as far as I know they're still not in full compliance, they need to distribute the code and the license WITH the driver from what I know.
Sure my hand was in the cookie jar... but uhhh... I was just getting a cookie for you! Childish
In contrast an electronic election is mostly _hidden_ to observers. So it should be suspicious by default.
Why do they need to be mostly _hidden_? It's just that systems today, made by private corporations, are hidden. They can be made to be more open to the public, while retaining security. It is easier to tamper with electronic votes, but at the same time it should be easier to track tampering with those same electronic votes if the system was open and available for the public to monitor.
I work on a lot of projects where my clients want to go one way (the wrong way) although I plead with them to go the other. In the end they're paying me so I usually do what they want. After time they learn to compromise, mostly because of future costs... mostly.
I have plenty of good projects with good outcomes. If you can't sell yourself or your opinions, then you'll probably be put in more positions where your better judgment tells you what you're doing is wrong.
This whole ordeal always reminds me of the tv show V back in the day. One of the first things the alien invaders did, while they were still friendly of course, was to round up all the scientists under the conspiracy of helping humanity.
Yes! That should really be the doctrine of any space program. Fix the 'all the eggs in one basket' problem. I think some of this is great progress towards that ultimate goal. Using Luna as a learning tool should be our main focus I think. Start a colony on the moon, immediately.
We still have a lot of brick roads here along the Mississippi river. It gets hot and cold here and I've never seen any maintenance needed for them. In the summertime a lot of green grows out from between the bricks which I guess could be a problem if they get too big. Personally I've always really enjoyed driving on them.
Might as well remove all the salt in the ocean while they're at it.
.. mostly ..

of talking to the Chinese if the Chinese people don't hear the message. It's certainly falling on deaf ears on the Chinese authorities.
And who cares if the American media is gobbling it up, the American people don't care.
They did the crime, they served their time. What's so hard to understand about that?
It's hard to understand how 18 years or less equals a life.
It does not.
The medical profession frowns upon self medication for a reason.
Yeah, because they're missing out on the MONEY.
Comic books. I've always hated the name 'Graphic Novels'
If we're gonna rename it they should be called 'Paper Cartoons'
have died out of the world, for want of the strength to survive.

The universe has delivery now? If only it'd get an internet presence I bet it'd really take off.
My scheme has always been Room#_Computer#
The rest of that information can be stored in a database.

I'm pretty sure edgegamers.org, a very large gaming clan, had to pay him a fee to keep using the name.
From his website:
The movie "The Edge" staring Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin, was released by 20th Century Fox under license from EDGE
Yeah, what a troll.
1. Trademark common english dictionary word
2. Sue anyone having anything to do with word
3. Profit

I listen to music the RIAA does not own, but they'll still shut them down because they think it's infringing on their bottom line.

Religious fanatics are dangerous.
Just to suck it up and pay your income taxes like everyone else.
Yeah, just continue to be a slave. It's cool everyone's doing it!
There are many stupid people in jail for many stupid things. Taking a stand, ANY stand, against people OWNING YOUR LABOR is not stupid.
