To do anything in .NET you have to use P/Invoke waaaay too often, and once you do that, you're no longer writing managed code, which is supposedly the whole point of the CLR.

Strange...I have been developing in .NET since beta1 and have yet to use P/Invoke. This includes 3 in-use production apps, another one currently in development, and countless small utility apps.

I agree, but what you may consider a 'toy' many consider 'streamlined'. I have to admit though, I haven't used Mozilla ever since Firefox was Firebird or Phoenix (whichever was first). Haven't felt the need to switch. Firefox does everything I need.

I almost did switch to K-Meleon though. It *is* faster. But, it also made me realize just how fast Firefox is. The unpolished'ness of K-Meleon kept me from switching. That and Firefox's extensions.

My fear is this may (possibly...) splinter the existing BT community. I'm sure the smarter, more tightly controlled ratio sites (IOW, the *good* ones) will not jump into this...hopefully their users will see the folly in doing such.

If it comes down to that though, I'd rather see eXeem go away completely. As you said...it's just another p2p app.

They really could be anything, and I doube all 7 are used for tracking. A properly designed app would need only 1 for tracking.
