You're close. The point of this is not that people can be proven intoxicated or sober, but rather that the device measuring defendants can be proven or disproven to accurately quantify suspected intoxication.
If there is absolutely no review of how the device works it can not be taken for granted that the device does in fact work.
And to answer another question, yes the details of the device could be released under a NDA with regards to the exact operation. Afterall, these witnesses are simply stating their expert opinion on the ability of the device to function.

XP and 2K's NTFS are largely compatible, neither are stable under NT 3.x; and NT 4.0 can cause corruption still.
All versions are forward compatible, which is a fricking miracle considering it's MS, and they changed stuff in every version...

I with you on this one. BSG has just been a slide down hill these last few seasons. Seems like SciFi took a page or two from Disney (specifically the "milking it for all it's worth" chapter).

The show has changed a lot over the seasons. Remember season 1, with the fleet and the whole 'survival' theme? The show has become so obsessed with character development that the overarching plot seems to have take a back seat to 'this episode's drama'. Someone watching just season 4 might think there's only two or three dozen people in the whole show; not almost 40,000 refugees.

Bottom line, SciFi needs to worry less about sucking every last nickle and dime out of a good idea. They need to concentrate on what they do best, find good ideas; then leave it alone, don't try to change it.

The biggest problem with CVT technology is that currently it's pretty weak. CVTs in cars can only handle about 300HP (~230KW); a 5KW+ turbine would snap that like a matchstick. And one big enough to handle that turbine would sap quite a bit of efficiency.

There is a range in the appearance of cars to match the drivers. People tend to pick cars that reflect their personality. This is why the major manufacturs reuse the same car frame with different facias; usually one very doscile, one more average, and one more agressive.

The guy in the agressive looking BMW is *probably* a more agressive person/driver.

Everyone wants to scare us into doing something, usually buying a product. Take some time to relax, you'll live longer.

There's some equipment out there with decent range, but it's usually quite expensive. My $50 do-it-all tranciever has a range of about 6 inches. With the lower frequency tags you get better range, but still I don't think I've seen trancievers with anywhere-in-the-house type range.

I don't mean to be rude at all, but I've found 99.9% of such pains to be from people holding the mouse, or typing, in strange positions. Maybe her desk is at the wrong height, mouse too far away from her. There's quite a few things I can think of right off the top of my head.

I know people around my work complain of neck pain on occasion. I come around and they all have their monitors pointed at the desk. I ask them why that is, and they alway tell me the same thing "never thought about that".

Still the trackball or touchpad seems to be the more obvious answer for people who have pains in their thumbs.
