I may be wrong, afterall I'm no expert on ATMs or bank networks, but since when are ATMs on the internet? I mean really, can you really get an IP address off an ATM? If this is the case then... isn't that a bad thing?
It would be sweet if they could still do that. Then again, Doom 3 wouldn't be the same if the only colors it could use were cyan, magenta, black and white...
Actually Windows XP has fast user switching while Windows 2000 didn't. Windows XP was definately different from Windows 2000, whether or not it was BETTER has yet to be determined.:P
Now the jump from Windows 98 to 98SE and the jump from 98SE to ME were both worthless. 95 to 98 added USB support, and ME to XP added stability (though ME to house of cards adds stability too.)
On the Apple front, I can't say much because the only OS I've ever owned was Panther. I've used Jaguar before and I can honestly say I'd upgrade, if not just for expose.
Maybe I just had a different experience learning it... it made more sense to me than.NET's GUI (I still don't like the idea of GUI and code living together, they should be separate.)
I admit that Objective-C can be slightly painful especially when you get stuff that looks like

it rubbed me the wrong way at first but now I can honestly say I'd rather code in XCode than Visual Studio.
User un-friendly? Interface builder? So placing a button on a window and drawing a line from the button to the class is un-friendly to you? Do you have no arms?
I could understand OS X being slow on the Xbox, but do you guys think that doing something like this on the Xbox 2 would be better, seeing how the Xbox 2 uses the G5?
I'd probably feel different about working in Windows if I didn't primarily use Access 2003 at work. After 8 hours of working in that POS, coming home to Windows is the last thing you'd wanna do.:)
We're switching more and more to.NET, so we'll see how my outlook is once we drop that ungodly program.
It may not be Visual Studio, OR.Net but you could always try Mono.
When I got my Mac I said the same thing... that I couldn't get rid of my PC completely because I had just gotten a fresh copy of Visual Studio.NET and I still wanted to tinker with it.
Haven't booted the PC since... (of course thats not saying Visual Studio sucks, its certainly more mature than Xcode... but not booting Windows is worth it.)
Bull. Windows, Office, and Visual Studio were all products single-handedly coded by Bill Gates himself. Sure, other people have taken on the tasks of maintaining it, but the true vision of these products started under his programming leadership.
Single-handedly? Uh, no. He didn't even single-handedly code BASIC if I remember correctly.
As an owner of a Focus, I'd like to add that there are a L O T of cars, some of which are even cheap, that are better than a Ford Focus. Its a POS, I don't care what Consumer Reports says about it.

A website is a place on the internets.
Gahhh sorry I had to!

You could install CherryOS and get 80% of the speed though!
(Whoa now, mods... I'm just kidding!)
If you really want an iBook to span monitors its really really not that hard to use google and hack it.
Yeah, I'd probably go with the PowerMac too... an iMac with an nonupgradable 5200 just rubs me the wrong way.
I'm sure by the time I hit submit there will be 500 posts saying the same thing but...
Priced too high! For the same price you can get an iMac that comes with a built in display for the same price!
And for shame Apple on crippling the FSB.
Ok so I'm a little miffed that I paid the same price for my 933MHz iBook that would have gotten me a 1.33GHz iBook with a Superdrive today...

Yahoo does this, check it out.
my.yahoo.com
From what I've heard Microsoft sold that stock off a long time ago.
Of course, they do make a nice hefty sum off of Office for Mac...
I could understand OS X being slow on the Xbox, but do you guys think that doing something like this on the Xbox 2 would be better, seeing how the Xbox 2 uses the G5?
Apple Pippin 2 anyone?

... for now. You can buy them both at the same time and get a $50 rebate, but iLife 04 is not PART of OSX.
its Macs not MACs. And I know my old school (NCSU) is doing stuff with Xgrid. I heard they were trying to get a cluster of all the Macs on campus.
Wrong, 98% of the posts pointed out the obvious spelling mistake.

Actually thats an awesome idea!
So say you've got Star Wars Battlefront for the PC. What would the B-side be?
So by your definition it would be a game that was never finished...
Sam and Max 2!
I'd buy it!

I can't wait to get rid of mine.
Wait wait, you mean you LIKE Alex Albrecht? The guy's a moron! Bring back Pat!
Bastard beat up a G4...
Microsoft plans on rating its systems with its new "G rating"
a low end system will be G3, mid range G4, and the newer systems will be G5.
Oh wait...
Like firefox?
So the DS is 1.0 then?
But you couldn't play Gameboy Color games on the orignal Gameboy, could you? (I'm not sure, I've got rid of my Gameboy long before the GBC came out)
