I almost agree with the Napster CEO... Why buy music from iTunes when you can buy the same music, with a non-DRMed hard copy (used cd) for less?
I agree with this. What I don't understand is how this means that Napster can succeed. The above has nothing to do with Napster's business model.
On the other hand... it also hurts simplicity by forcing a choice. Do I buy an iPod and subscribe to iTunes or do I buy a Napster compatible device and subscribe to it?
Actually there is already an Aqua Teen Hunger Force video game. I see it on Get It Now on my cell whenever I browse to see if there are any games with demos. It doesn't have a demo, so I have yet to play it but its there.
If I'm not mistaken, Blizzard normally puts their games out on hybrid CDs that work in both PCs and Macs.
Also, WoW does not make games... I'm sure that was a typo though.
The games for Mac generally don't drop in price like they do for PC... I have no idea why, and its kind of annoying but just because the price tag is $50 does not mean it was released relatively recently.
In my copy of Safari, pressing CMD+F brings up the "Find words on this page" search box. If you would RTFA you'd find that Y!Q is not the same thing.
Not that Y!Q is anything NEW... I do believe "find related pages" is the same thing... but CMD+F (or the Windows CTRL+F) is definately not the same thing.
It is also important to recognize that they have been wrong at times too (e.g. The Cube, the Newton, and the one button mouse)
God will you people PLEASE come up with something more original to pick at Apple with than the One Button Mouse. They obviously weren't THAT wrong about the one button mouse, they still use them. And they like it!
Paul Thurrott says that the Mini's competition is eMachines and Compaq and that both of them will squash Apple like a bug. Had a good laugh at that this morning.
Damn right. I never played VC or SA but in GTA 3 I eventually got bored of all the stupid missions and would see how long I could stay alive with the army hunting me down.
Apple also does not make their computers out of cardboard and would not package their new computers in an iBook box with a printed piece of paper taped to the top.
It was one of the ugliest looking mouse I ever had, and came with a very hard green platic mouse pad that could be used as a cutting board.
*sigh* Memories. I remember my dad bringing home a PC he used for work. Had a 3 button mouse, and a *gasp* EGA monitor. I quickly played through all my games to see them in all their 16 color glory.
I'm confused, what exactly are you talking about? How (other than being a windowing system) is Looking Glass like Longhorn?
I don't know, ask Apple. Their UI uses the GPU and it has for awhile now.
The OS X version of AIM is horrid though... I'm not sure they even update it.
I use iChat at the moment.
Don't forget my favoriite pet-peeve, the ads that have sound.

You don't subscribe to iTunes.
No no no, I forsee Halo 3 being Halo 360.
Or maybe Halo XP or Halo.NET or Halo Server 2006...

Which of the games I listed took years to get to the Mac? Some of them took a few months (the Sims 2) true... but years?
And WoW, all the Blizzard games, Doom3, UT2k4, the Sims, soon the Sims 2, KOTOR...

Right, thats why everyone is flocking to Firefox.
Don't forget, the Mac Mini is small and the X Box is probably big enough to be considered a deadly weapon.
It is also important to recognize that they have been wrong at times too (e.g. The Cube, the Newton, and the one button mouse)

Right... we don't need anti-spyware cause we all use Firefox.
And as for the Open Source virus scanners, look harder.
Probably because they ran out of iPod Shuffles so they have none to give away. :)

Thats probably what the switch is there for. Pretty sure...
If thats the case, Apple sure did drop the price didn't they?
I'm sure the video card isn't the whole reason Panther runs slow on older Macs.
Ever try running WinXP on older PCs?
If they just used the command line, they wouldn't need to learn how to use the mouse now would they?

;)
They forgot about those technicalities as well.
Ah white, cyan, and magenta (or yellow, red, and white)... 320x200... makes me feel like dusting off Alleycat...

I remember the cutting board mouse pads too.
