Yup. The same way the oldtimers ducked Jon Katz and michael the asshat: go to Preferences, click Homepage, then unclick the editors you don't want.

  2. Fun game on Puzzle Pirates Reviewed · · Score: 1, Interesting

Fun game. I played for a few months last Fall/Winter while saving up money for a new video card. Looks like there are lots of new puzzles. Might have to reactivate my account. (Especially since my Mac mini is in manufacturing now, and Puzzle Pirates is WAYYYYY better than that slider puzzle game).

It won't do much for long haul truckers, so there goes some early adopters willing to spend green for in car entertainment. And it won't do any good for people living outside of urban areas. Believe it or not, there are people who don't live in NY or LA.

Areas outside the US... Who knows. They listen to really weird shit music anyway.

Oh, in case you don't know, the signal is sent directly (more or less) to her auditory nerve, so you remove the effects of the headphones, aural cavity, inner ear, etc.

Why would the CGI be bad? There's plenty of good CGI, and plenty of bad. Not to mention that since most of the possible CGI would be robots, several factors are removed or minimized: No crazy texture maps, and little->no facial expressions. Joints don't have to be seamless. You can see some gap between the arm and wrist for example.

So you compare manually installing a hacky little 'gtkpod' to:

    • automatically installing the fairly professional iTunes
    • registering the device

Okay, so it was only two things, why bother with the list. Methinks your 15 minute adventure was due to either your slow typing or a slow CD-Rom drive. Did you count the time it took you to figure out that 'gtkpod' was the correct/best software to install under Fedora?

I like OSS as much as the next guy (unless the next guy is RMS), but the incorrect Windows to Linux comparison is soooo 1999.

Which, in the off chance you haven't heard it a billion times before, is very common with trailers. Music at the point that the trailer is made is often not 100% finished. Also, finished music makes the trailer a little more appealing and gives the viewer some indication of what the new movie is like. So almost all trailers grab music from an older movie.

Look at that 'Phantom Menace' movie trailer. It took music from some 25 year old space opera.
