    Because they are not racist. Also I think the people living in the ghetto's are happy to see less crime. When they mount guns on the helicopters and start shooting whenever they think they see a crime, that's when you'll get protest.

    Another factor is opportunity. These helicopters are likely to reduce moments of opportunity and increase fear of being detected as they could show up at any moment.

    Communism only relates to the way you organize your economy.
    The point of this research is probably to allow doctors to make better estimates as to when a patient might die.
    Capitalism can be just as bad as communism if you don't regulate the economy. You need some of both.

    We already knew that healthier people have a smaller chance of dying, that's basically the definition of being healthy.
    So this study only shows health and fitness are related.

    Sadly though many westerners also depend on religion, so they don't make that argument.

    there's plenty of good women candidate. What they are going to do is look for women and make an effort to find female candidates instead of just taking the first male white candidate that offers up.

    Totally going in the wrong direction.
    There's an upcoming vote, but it only affects provincial government. Although they can stop this from happening it's questionable that they will.

    The problem is where girls who would want to work in tech are discouraged because of bias everywhere. Commercials are also bias. On the other hand a country like Sweden which has tried very hard to eliminate all bias has seen an even greater difference in the professions people choose. It seems that when they have the economical freedom to choose, they pick their preference. And that men and women have opposite preferences in a number of fields.

  15. The differences happen on edge cases. Often you can get 10 points for a sum, 1 for the correct answer and 9 divided across how you reach it. When you know a child you can be subjective and think 'I know what he really means here'. There's a lot of details where small differences (unconsciously) can be made.

    They should allow downvotes.
    6000 downvotes might not make you happy, but it's better than personal threats.
    That would allow people to vent their emotions. Or show that they are the only person who has a certain opinion.
    It's not a silver bullet, but would make me personally very happy :)

    Who still believes these lies?
    It's not about getting to the 'bad' guys, hasn't been for a long time.
    It's about power for the government.
    Terrorists/pedophiles are not stupid, they write their own encryption software and are not going to get caught allowing secret services to prevent them by their activities on social media.

    In science nothing ever gets 'fully resolved'. It's not religion where babies burn in hell, then go to limbo to get more believers then they go to heaven to get even more believers. It's driven by understanding and improving that understanding.

    The point of "this is perfect and certainly true" does not exist.

    Seems to me they just don't understand why people are flying drones over nuclear reactors and wanna be able to shoot down those drones, just in case it's a bunch of criminals.

    The same can be said for any measure.
    The area around nuclear plants is already highly controlled.
    So activists always get stopped within it, they don't make it to the actual nuclear reactor.
    Changing that area into a military area just means it becomes illegal to fly over it and allow them to shoot those drones down.
    And maybe the activists will get more severe punishments for trying to breach.

    The fear is not something you can counter with arguments or measures.
    Because it's based on the idea that we won't be able to control the AI and that if something like a signularity happens you'll be too late when you realize it.
    Maybe explaining why it's naturally good to be moral would be more effective.

    Why it's good to be moral:
    If you are nice to others they will generally be nice to you.
    Making other people happy makes you feel good to.
    Games allow the experience of emotions that would require hurting people in the real world.
    If you're smart it's better to uphold the law and not hurt others.
