Elections Canada is charged merely with the tabulating of votes, it's not a partisan position such as it is in many states (especially Florida). Having representatives of each party scrutinize each vote ensures fairness, whereas the Diebolds are "black boxes" with no assurance of anything at all.
All I can think of is that a furby with a coke can must be the military's worse nightmare.
I know the editors can't go around correcting everyone's submission, but they could at least insert a [sic] next to stuff that is misspelt , or with bad grammar. It would make the front page much more readable.
It's an episodic series, so there's far more scope for tangled plots, characters development
If it were episodic, everything would go back to way way it was at the beginning of the episode, like most sitcoms. As it is, it has a running storyline throughout.
How did this get modded up? The administration costs for our healthcare runs at about 3%, which is a fraction of what it costs for an HMO. That runs about 25% since they spend a lot of money trying to deny that you're covered for anything.
Just one example. When the same news sources reported that 5.6% unemployment under Clinton Good, but currently report that 5.6% unemployment under Bush is Bad, they're liars.
The difference is that under Clinton, the number of jobs actually increased. Under Bush II, there's a net loss of about 2.3 million jobs.
What's more than that is that they're also generally partisan (Democrat/Republican), which doesn't help matters. What's needed for a body overseeing voting that is completely non-partisan, or independent.
They should only be concerned about counting the votes properly and that's it and avoid all of this political crap.
Dammit! I was shooting for Score: 2- 50% Bitter, 25% Democractic-Whining, 25% Get-Over-The-Florida-Elections-Already
Democratic whining. I suppose the only people who would complain are those intersted in Democracy. That is, where people are voted into office by the electorate, not by a small cadre of appointed judges.
Dan Quale, of all people
It looks like you and Dan have common inability to spell.

That's a bunch of license fees for M$ to lose, Win and Office
This must be the first post I've read in weeks where "lose" is spelt with just one "o".

I think I'll just open a Superman comic and rip off the design for the Fortress of Solitude. Chaching!

Don't forget to add some evil Battlebot settings!
That's not ironic.

That's pretty funny, seeing as the US Dollar is now trading at roughly the same exchange with the Euro as the Canadian dollar is to the US Dollar.
This "weak dollar" policy of the Bush administration is likely what's drving the economy at the moment, not the silly tax cuts to the rich.

[grammer nazi] For the LAST time, Microsoft IS, sheesh..[/grammer nazi]
That would be "grammar".
So shouldn't it be "loosing" control of your TV in the headlines?
I'm pretty sure it was the very expensive occupation in Afghanistan which did them in. I havnen't heard much about a SDI program by the USSR.
Within the first 30 minuets 2 players were already down 3 clones apiece
I had no idea there was so much dancing in early 80's games. It obviously took its toll.
The A-bomb has a little more to do with splitting atoms than smashing them. What you're probably talking about is an H-bomb.
numbskull. Ironic eh?

Or 6 Euros
Being a Canadian, I have no choice but to use piracy
There's Puretracks (http://www.puretracks.com)
A kilogram is the measurement of a certain amount of matter, not it's weight. Sure the two are related, but not the same.
A kilogram is the same on the surface of the earth, in outer space, or one the moon. Weight however, varies with gravitational pull or acdeleration.
In other words, weight is basically the mass of on object multiplied by whatever gravitational field you happen to be in.

If the laws were to favour atheism, the coins would say "In NO god we trust".
but I'm sure that he's not going to kill six million Jews to get his way.
