Its quite possible with the US finally having some decent cell phones that they'll start using the cell phone modem adapter.

I've grabbed quite a few roms, but if I can find the game I don't mind buying it at a decent price... Found Metroid 2 for Gameboy for 12 bucks over the weekend. Now thats pretty cool, but if my _only_ way of playing it was dropping $20 at Funcoland well forget that. Emulators let me play games that can't be found anymore. Some people are going to abuse them, but those who will buy the games are going to buy the games and those who won't, won't. I'll buy what is essentially my 3rd copy of Doom, as long as they present me with something I didn't have before, hopefully multiplayer and the levels of the complete set. Oh, and make it Doom 2, if it doesn't have the SSG I don't want it. Right, rambling.

Rehashes yes, but if they add value its all good.

Space: Above and Beyond was not shite, I would have to argue. I have a hard time seeing Melrose space... Its not as if the characters are trying to get it on constantly, or attempting to back stab every 5 min. Hell, that name is probably only used by people who've seen it once and feel like discounted because it was made by those silly americans or some such stuff. The plot had a good many more plot lines it could have taken if Fox would have let it go on longer. The only thing that took away was the Red Shirt syndrome where there were new members of the 58th each week and they were dead by the end of the episode. The final ep broke this trend so at least they were aware of it. Space: Above and Beyond was excellent and would have only gotten better with time.

There are days though. When the callers barely speak english. When the calls are 10 seconds apart and all 6 agents are busy. When its 9:45pm on a friday night and you're seeing floating bottles of beer. When that paycheck looks far too small.

And then there are days when we eat a feast provided by the bosses, or that all 8 agents are in an Age of Empires game, with only one alt-tabbed to take a call.

This movie was one of the coolest I have seen. I know its a great piece of film-making, but what matters is thats its a great piece of film making about super heroes and comics. Throughout the movie, I kept looking over at my friend gary when major things happened and we had these matching grins on. The guy above wonders why this is on slashdot... This review is on slashdot because comics are something a good many of us have loved and the movie is one of the most enjoyable I have ever seen.

But here is the thing, these roms sites that sega is shutting down, I'm 99% sure it is Dreamcast rom sites. See, the encryption recently got broken, so now every kiddie ( ,1337!!!) wants DC games. And those are whats getting shut down. I'm not sobbing over the those sites being shutdown... I'm sorry, but I think SlashStaff need to research the articles that they are going to post, at least a little... Look at the irony of what you are saying. You don't even have to ask a US citizen for the answer, you present it already. Notice how you say that the US gets so little thought from day to day? Well, same here. I think in both our cases we're just busy with our own lives and things that have a good chance of affecting us, so even national matters are pretty far from number one... I mean, I worry about school, women, computers, my friends, my recreation way more than I worry about what the national government is saying. And then its just a fact that alot of net traffic does go through the US, so that does make the US matter at least to those w/ interest in the conversation. I know there is a ton of stuff submitted, but if they're going to post something, they should at least read it and proof-read the post for greatest clarity. I used to be more of a warez puppy, but I've gotten to the point with games that I'll only pick and choose certain ones, and those are usually worth my dollar (or fourty).
Back to topic, anyway you've gotta have connections to find a decent warez server, knowing someone who has a genuine connection. Its like dudes. Follow this, you ever had a friend who is craving something smokable? Well, they usually say something like, "I called my dude and blah blah". Ya gotta have a dude to get warez. Thing is that dudes are usually flakey no matter what wareS they distribute. Not worth the hassle either way.
As for that 24 hour crap... Come on. Is it okay to steal something as long as you put it back within 24 hours? Its not. Those roms are just as illegal. People may bs around, put signs like that to soothe their conscience and maybe give officials some excuse if they come knocking, but I doubt anyone could fine a written, Real-Life law to corroberate that. Amusing, and it makes you feel better when you get them, but its still illegal.
