"But it does prove that nerds are at the forefront once again!"
It proves nothing of the sort. When the average, non nerd knows and actually gives a shit about it, then, and only then, can you say that "nerds are at the forefront".
And really, have nerds ever been at the forefront before? And the forefront of what? In fact, was it really necessary to provide a link to a film that didn't have anything to do with the article? Or are/. articles only approved if they have more than 2 links in them?
And yet...you wont stop posting anonymously, and the only person who has anything to gain from continueing this is oGALAXYo...and your grammar and language still supports my suspicions.
But why replace Sebastian Shaw with a piece of wood and not replace Alec Guinness with Ewan McGregor? Why would Anakin's ghost return to his young man (which luke never knew him by) instead of the only image of him that Luke knew him by.
Unless there's now dialogue added where Luke says "Okay, you're Yoda, you're Ben, but, I'm sorry, I don't think I know you?"
Though as the other answer to my post pointed out, it would perhaps be more illuminating to see if they could answer questions on general knowledge, stuff you would expect a person with 9 or 12 years of school to know. Guess why I would like to see that in this particular election.
Because you're playing on personality politics? It doesn't really matter that Bush is a dumbass and has difficulty pronouncing words like nuclear and working out what size of food fits in his mouth. Whether there's a genius in office or a dumbass makes very little difference to the policies, just the way they're presented.
And unless you're a standup comedian who likes to point out the flaws in people in public office, I don't think it matters much.
And what would either of those questions have proved? That neither Bush nor Kerry are scientists?
Bush and Kerry do not make policy, they are just the public faces presenting the policies of their respective parties.
Whether the creation of personality politics where you vote for the most attractive public face ("Oh, I don't like him, he has a parking ticket, I'll vote against him") rather than on parties and their policies is a good or bad thing I'll leave for you to decide.
Bill. Bill Watterson did Calvin and Hobbes and refused to license it.
I think you're getting Bill's name confused with Gary Larson, who, as numerous calendars/mugs/posters/postit notes/etc/etc/etc stand testamony to, didn't appear to have any issues with licensing at all.
> Kind of like Dilbert going downhill now that Scott > Adams relies on e-mail for his bizzarre > situations.
Dilbert only got good once Scott started relying on emails. The first few years of strips were bad jokes you told your friends when you were 9 and thought they were hilarious, but with a dog and dilbert saying them.
Then he put his email address on the strips and people emailed him their experiences and he wrote about those. He even admits this himself.
The problem now though is that most people's experiences aren't all that different from one another and all the situations have been played out over and over again and have become predictable and tedious.
That and Scott Adams is an egotistical moneygrabbing asshat. The money grabbing he admits to, and you only need to read "The Joy of Work" to notice the ego problem.
I've always felt that Audacity's main problem is that its not sure if it wants to be a sample editor or a multitrack editor like Ardour. I guess it copied this schizophrenia from Cooledit...
BTW, I see you nicked the Ardour website style from my sample editors website (marlin.sf.net). But its okay, I nicked it from somewhere else too, and after all, you changed it a lot more than I did...
I don't. I hated browser mode. In fact, I rarely used the file manager with it Now with spatial I use it far more.
> There's no button to turn it off.
You simply want a button that you're going to use once and never need to use again? That just sounds like bloating up things. Imagine if your computer had a huge button for each of the dip switches, that once you'd set them the first time you built the computer and then never ever needed to change it again...
The gnome project tried expert mode. There were 3 levels Beginner Intermediate Expert.
It didn't work.
People had different expectations of what features/options should be in which level, and so in the end, everyone just switched to Expert all the time, so that they could see all the features.

Well done ali.
I posted non anonymously so that you could work out who it was.

We are now raising this to a Confirmed oGALAXYo sighting.

He said he was able to tell 90% of the time.
If I examine 10 machines and can tell that 9 of them have been opened, and I'm not sure if 1 hasn't, then I can tell 90% of the time.

He's probably not there, cos he was cremated, so who knows where his ashes are now
Actually I believe kindergarten level ethics is along the lines of "Finders keepers, losers weepers"
Its still counted as an independent label.
"Of course, if the band is indy, the RIAA isn't involved in the first place, but your statement implies we're talking about major-label bands"
You'd think that, but nearly all indie labels use the big name labels for distribution. And the majority of indie labels are RIAA members too.
And lets not forget...Britney Spears is on an independant label. (Jive)
