  1. What employer is actively keeping tabs on how you came to work whether it be public or private transportation? I've never heard of an employer giving a shit how you got there so much as that you are there. I'm sure where the giving a shit kicks in is somewhere at the point where there is no longer a concern about cost of getting there.

  2. Haven't really had any trouble running whatever I want that's Linux on a Mac since 2001-2002. Before there were a lot of good OS X applications I would install Linux apps via Fink and run them in X. Nowadays most of the Linux apps have wrappers on the Mac so you don't even need to piss with compiling them or having X running.

Set your PC up around privacy then. It's not rocket surgery and it's not as though you need to click the apps and start feeding them your personal information. The fix for this issue will take fewer than 2 minutes including the time to Bing search to find it.

This should do it assuming you didn't bother to spend the time to set your operating system up right from the getgo or read ahead before installing major patches as to what you need to do to stay up to snuff on privacy.

  4. Nothing from the Porsche press release indicated anything about chrome parts. Appears to just be iron, plastic, and steel components.

  5. There are some altcoins that are ASIC resistant that can only be mined with GPUs or CPUs and others that historically could only be mined with GPUs or CPUs until new ASICs for hashing methods are available, so you can miss out on a lot of potential money early if you are waiting on an ASIC solution. What's more, ASIC vendors have been notoriously slow with shipping as well as availability.

  6. X-Ray the chip would be a good starting point. Since the article is about Huawei I wouldn't be worried so much about a knockoff chip since they do the CPUs in house, so not really a sense in worrying about other parts being knockoffs parts when they can do it first party.

  7. What are they going to do from there? Buy apps assuming they know your AppleID? Update your computer to the next patch which will probably fix the issue?

It has 8 USB ports so I kind of look at it as $625 per port. My Mac Pro was $4800 and only has 4 USB ports, so I'd say this is a significantly better value than what I have. I'll be waiting outside the Apple Store on Thursday to pick one up.

Why I always buy a phone that can have its bootloader unlocked and is supported with a chip that won't be obsolete later down the road. Doing a bit of research alleviates the issue. Nice thing with Apple is you don't need to research the vendor. I just can't stand using iOS anymore since the cat started winning more than the mouse in terms of doing custom software to make the system less annoying.

Little tired, but Apple doesn't build products for work on an oil field like some of the Panasonic toughbooks. They also don't make a wired keyboard that doesn't suck anymore. Not saying other companies chiclet style keys don't work, but Apple often puts form aside in favor of aesthetics. I think for those who really like Apple and Samsung the convenience of having an $800-1000 phone isn't an issue. Most people fold it into their bill so there isn't a perception of its cost since they are used to paying obscenely high bills and the "rental fee" is essentially at 0% interest.

I prefer the $200-$300 price point and am currently using a LeEco Le Pro 3 which is zippy enough and I prefer being able to flash my own ROM than being fashionable, but most people just want something that works without relearning a new platform.
