"Under the act, all U.S. cloud service providers, from Microsoft and IBM to Amazon -- when ordered"
Guess if you have already move on board(to the cloud) you have some thinking to do. Your data is in someone elses hands.
the reasons that Windows 7 Pro will most likely be my last Windows Workstations (have 2) when it goes EOL.
At that point, I am thinking bye bye Windows/Microsoft everything. So you know what, I don't much care. After all, they really are heading to remote monthly subscription based everything anyway.
I refuse to use any of that kind of stuff in "my" business. Basically, limited accounts to deal with client work. And when the time comes I will let those clients go elsewhere for that work.
information related to events, who, where sure seems to me, to damage the usefulness of said information. So what are they saying their plan is?
Collect useful information then modify the raw data until it is useless and that is a productive thing to do.
mmm I wonder if they are keeping everything, then trying to pass the collection off as safe! Seems to do otherwise is a waste of time.
tennis shoes? "Nike Bricks Its Shoes With a Faulty Firmware Update" guess that is why they cost what they do. One wonders if the are running Windows XP embedded, that has not quite reached it's EOL.
Ah complete deniability you would think these individuals are US government employees, DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA or national security people I mean individuals with their misplaced integrity
"businesses" in China are the government.Having any Chinese business in your infrastructure is what it is.
If you do not mind the Chinese Government/Military having complete access your good.
If the Chinese Government/Military having complete access is a problem you have some issues to deal with.
Same applies to US, Russia, EU, the list goes on for each and every Country.
textbooks are not the best way to learn. Especially, when you consider that most today are out of date and/or written by companies/professors/individuals with a monetary over accuracy outlook.
I buy few books these days and do internet searches for most things. It has gotten to the point where I recall the query, not the actual information the next time I need the info. So I ask myself what happens when the internet is down;) On a side note, I have always wondered in the past how advanced cultures can loose knowledge, maybe I have the answer
In addition I find that I can pickup things I need to know using the internet. So maybe the concept of sitting in a classroom with a teacher in the room dispensing knowledge is also an obsolete way to learn.
If someone has the desire and an internet connection is our current public educational system obsolete. I don't think the government, academic establishment or the educational unions will respond well;)
write things in such a way as you can't get held responsible for anything, yet hold your customers to any standard, charge, demand, etc you wish to make.
Lawyers write everything in Legalese, Un Comprehensible, goobbly gook!
but then I think about bad players getting in to the mesh and what issues could/might arise. Then I wonder if mesh is such a good idea. But the concept is attractive.
Celebrities, media persons, corporations, criminal organizations, dictators, government organizations and politicians have whole staffs dedicated to managing the twitter PR/propaganda tool.
Well except President Trump and Elon Musk but that is a different issue;) lol
I have never seen a use for twitter and have no clue why anyone would have an account or care what is said there. but that is just me
all lotto winners and the outcomes 5-10 years later. Maybe that is the best raw data there is for what happens when an individual becomes financially secure.
Will we learn that individuals who are unemployed/not financially secure are that way because of the life choices they make.
Just wondering?
including laws and regulations are pay access only. That is why the government says ignorance of the law is no defense. Thus their butts are covered and they can club the peasants in to line.
Mean while if your a politician or government bureaucrat you are rarely prosecuted even when you knew about the law or regulation. They leak, lie,use the power of government and their positions for personal reasons, personal profit, get elected/hired get rich! etc.
Our Government is badly broken and it has zero integrity in my book. And that includes the Congress, Judiciary, Law Enforcement (FBI, CIA, National Security, deep state losers). They are all out for themselves, their party and their ideology.
They are the only ones qualified to rule.
but it is 100's and 100's of pages of legal speak(confused, conflicting, legalistic gobbly gook).
If Net Neutrality is
- peek in to the packets you loose your common carrier liability protections.
- don't peek in to the packets you keep your common carrier liability protections.
I am all for that definition of Net Neutrality
But the government/businesses and activist are in the courts arguing about certain little things in the 100's and 100's of pages of crap. And who gets what and who pays who!! On both sides!! And most things that come out of our courts today are rarely good for the people! Because it is a bunch of unethical lawyers and judges who are ideological/paid off arguing their causes or to get their clients, someone else's money.
If Net Neutrality is not the simple definition I stated above. I want the governments slimy fingers as far away from the internet as possible. Would things get bad? Yes, but eventually the individuals, businesses and the market would figure out what people are willing to buy.
Yes it is, I even uninstalled NoScript and it still did not work. I just count it as one of those odd glitches you run in to in IT. Someday I will reinstall Firefox but not today;)
I went back and checked out Palemoon. But it seemed Palemoon rejected NoScript so I rejected using Palemoon.
And I hate Chrome, it can not even scroll/re fresh the screen properly and the ads, ads, ads and no NoScript. The whole experience just sucks. The only time I use it is to moderate Slashdot since Firefox does not work no matter what I do.
Not sure how I feel about this. I tend to resist Firefox updates because I don't want the new crap! The problem is, I would like security updates! Wish we could get security updates separated from features I never asked for and don't really give a rats ass about.
the 10's of thousands of medical unknowns flowing across our open southern border and it is no wonder measles, tb and such are making a real come back after almost disappearing in the US.
I have no issue with legal immigration, I just ask that all immigrants come through the turnstile. Maybe that is to much to ask in today's PC world.
And most of the items are stamped made in China on the bottom!
