Coverage providers fudging the network size/service area is old news. For anyone dealing with device/Apps that are used in rural America/fly over country.
What I would really like to know is where has the 100s of millions in fees the government has taken on communications bills over the years for rural network expansion has gone?
For years government has collected rural coverage expansion fees on electric and communications bills. In order to provide additional services in areas having trouble. Heck they still collect fees for rural electric expansion on electric bills. And where in most of rural America is there not electricity.
In a way, I say we just disband the FCC and end all of the electric and communication fees and add on charges. None of the funds are going anywhere useful anyway.
Sure there will be problems and issues. But we have a better chance of a business stepping up to better serve customers that any hope the government will fix anything.

Anyway I paid for insurance I could never make a clam on due to again government rules. i owned the business so i could never make a claim! on a product i was required by the government to buy so something of no value.

Because the state of MN required 3M to furnish the Workers Comp. policy number to them for all their vendors. Every year the state of MN would contact me and ask why I have a workers comp policy but all my reports have 0 payroll. And I explain and they would go huh, interesting. Everything government does has a cost and no one in government has a clue about the real world.
and I hope they succeed, but I fear government fails more often than not, when trying to do most things. I hope they do a great job and prove me wrong and that this can actually work.

My son-in-law (in IT like me) changed jobs every 1-2 years after graduation. Then he found the right spot and has stayed there. BTW I stayed out of his choices.

As for me, I don't see much happening that will affect me. I am 63. Have not flown in 10 years. Put 23 miles on my Toyota Prius last month. Have not driven over 2k-3k miles a year in, well years. Live in a 2000 sq ft house. And work remotely for the most part. How about you?

The best thing Zuck could do right now! Is sell and take cash and head in to the hills laughing all the way.
But then I have never had a social media account, well at least on any of the normal(useless) consumer sites so maybe I am completely out of touch.
