"When there are multiple university graduates competing for a part-time job at the local supermarket, something is horribly wrong." I resemble this comment. Sadly.
It could be a zany rom-com with a dog, a monkey using an abacus, and even fit in the gay angle somehow (maybe a fashion designer on the side, a la Zoolander?). Tom Cruise could be the romantic interest, fighting with Turing the whole time about how machines are evil and Xenu is the one true way, until the monkey, riding the dog, slaps Cruise with a fish and makes him realize the errors of his ways. Let Terry Gilliam direct.
Most of the comment already posted are good tips. Just remember to not slavishly listen to ergonomic "experts" to the point of ignoring discomfort. People are built all different ways, and if the "correct" way starts bothering you, try something else that is more comfortable.
Apple has always been more of a consumer company, but it did provide some top notch Pro tools in the A/V field. From TFA, it seems they are abandoning that top-tier niche with lesser tools. Can't Apple have a division that works only on top-notch pro tools? I'm an Apple guy (I like it, I have no special needs for Windows only software), but if Apple doesn't reverse a trend of alienating a group (albeit a small group) of previously staunch supporters, could this be a first step to Apple losing what professional footprint it does have?
Except the website says nothing. "Stand aside!" ? "We are not putting forth..." ? Ah, I still don't know what their goal is; it sounds as clear as a company's mission statement.
Now YOU DID point out many points that have merit. The problem is it is YOUR take on the situation. And a fine take it is.
However, the more I read and watch about the Occupiers, all I get is Corporations/Capitalist Bad, Wall St. Bad, Healthcare Good, Top 1% Bad, Need More Jobs. The only one that has an end state is to tax the Rich/Top 1% more.
How do politicians and the 1% "Step aside!"? Do the politicians all resign, and the 1% move somewhere else?
So if you want to call me clueless, which is basically what every Occupier supporter has called me, rather than explain what the goal is here in any defined terms. I'm neither Pro- or Anti- Occupier, I just want to know what the hell they are trying to do besides sling slogans around. Thanks.
There are processing systems that make digital look more like film. The different systems have varying levels of success. Here is a generic Wiki article about it- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmizing
Sorry, I tried to look up individual systems, but couldn't find any since I forgot their names. I had an acquaintance make a film for about $6K, and when I first saw it I asked him how he afforded film. He told me about his digital setup and I was quickly lost in the tech details.
The processing is getting better as the equipment prices come down.
On the plus side, however, the parent's steps could be mostly automated. Climate controlled off-line hard drives, DVDs and Blu-ray discs should last for a long time.
Beat me to it. And even those who do Google for an answer can't formulate the question in an efficient way, so they get nowhere. This is all based on my personal experiences, so discard as needed.
I'm sure the "Google or ask your friends" path works fine for NASA, they're supposed to be the smart ones. But then I read Bing, and then I had second doubts. Person: "How do I fix XYZ problem on my iPhone 4s?" Bing: "Buy a Zune."
... of a phrase from (oh boy) a TV show. [Paraphrased, of course]- "There are 3 sides to every situation. Side 1, side 2, and the truth." The good thing is that with increasing video coverage, we can see what happened rather than just each sides views of what happened. Of course, there is the downside of always being watched for no reason
I run a monthly hobby meeting with people from the US, Canada, and Britain. So when MS screws this up, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use then?
Don't a whole bunch of corporations do this? Maybe not to avoid all taxes, but I thought there were tax incentives/breaks for companies to have a global footprint. (Like they pay all the taxes here anyway, with all the breaks they get already.) I, along with my classmates, found it amusing that for our MBA financial class test questions that the corporate tax rate was ALWAYS a set 35%. Then the following class we would do a case study that showed how XYZ corporation actually paid only 7% tax.

There. Copy and paste into any article from now on and you have the general sense of what the "discussion" on any given article will be like.
Back to the article- every company in China has close ties to the government. TFA is low on real info, so I can't give a qualified opinion. I could see a Chinese-tied company tried to pull a few fast ones on the US, but there is no shown proof yet.
It's really going to the dogs....
A poster above linked an article that talks about going after the bankers, etc. Interesting read.

Wow, that was one heck of an eye opening article. Thanks for that link.
Just, damn.

From the future. Just saying.

Guaranteed $500 mil 1st weekend.
I was going to go with 'the radio star' to close the loop.
Oh, Congress is definitely the expert in violations. They're just mad that others are trying to muscle in on their turf without paying the tithe.

Are public officials protected under the 1st when discussing details of their job? Seriously, I don't know.
"We could probably afford it if we strip the top 1% wealth from their assets."
The American dream- be successful, then be hated for being successful, then have your assets taken away.

But what is your favorite color? (or would it be colour?)

Would make for an easy job, though!

No, it'll only be a flesh wound!
Very nice! Though you bring up a disturbing parallel.
Nice name, by the way.
That should be OK, I think I'm the only Mac user.
Now let's hope MS does NOT mess up Skype, because these people are not tech savvy (well, one guy is). It took a while for them to get a hang of Skype.

Cognitive dissonance at $45K a year!
