My local OTA channels are just as heavily compressed as the cable channels. Local stations are able to fit multiple subchannels into one regular channel, and to accomplish this, they reduce the bandwidth of the main channel. We're left with an overcompressed main channel and two amateur quality subchannels that show local ads and weather which earns the local station some extra income. It's going to get worse with everyone trying to cram more channels into their transmission medium without adding more headroom to compensate, and with so many people that can't even tell the difference between standard definition and high definition channels, the problem's never going to go away.
Some years ago, I was amazed when I went to a friend's house who had analog cable. This was before digital set top boxes were mandatory, and I was blown away by the quality of his SD channels which lacked any digital compression. Today's compressed HD channels actually look the same if not worse than the SD channels from before digital compression got to where it is today.
Not all of the power is being converted into a magnetic field. Some of it is being lost due to resistances in the circuit from cables, copper traces, and other components where it is converted to heat.
He's the CTO for Oculus, developers of the Oculus Rift VR HMD. He already has his plate full, and the writing has been on the wall since August when he joined Oculus. Gaming has much more to gain from him now that he's no longer tied to the past and can put all of his effort into VR gaming.

Plasma is made up of charged particles, and charged particles interact with gamma radiation through compton scattering and the photo-electric effect. This "shield" will reduce incoming gamma radiation via those phenomena.
I'm nominating his article for deletion for lack of notability. Sinbad hasn't been notable since the early 90s, and if he refuses to stay dead, then we need to kill off his wiki entry as some satisfaction for all the pain he's caused us. I mean, have you seen Houseguest?
The writer makes an excellent case, but I can't help but think about how is all under the authority of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Anyone of us can see that they just slapped an "iPhone" sticker on another product, but with all of the stories of how incompetent the USPTO is with granting patents without much thought as to its authenticity, who thinks that practice doesn't carry over into their dealing with trademarks? If they handle their handling of trademarks the same way they do patents, I can easily see Cisco having been successfully granted an extension on the trademark and it standing up in court.
They've actually been going after articles that are about subjects in published material. Wikipedia guidelines state that something is notable if it's been included in published material, but that doesn't matter when you have: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:IAR They can delete whatever they want.

Woah woah woah, hold on a second there. Campaigning for it? The second anyone jumps into an argument about notability on Wikipedia is the same second the editors/admins immediately call you out for being "sock puppet" or "meat puppet." Wikipedia is in its own little world, and any time someone new shows up, the established people over there immediately go on the defensive and attack you.
Absolutely. I participated in one of these discussions as well, and none of the established Wikipedia editors would consider the discussion for why to keep the article. They simply throw out that the article is not notable, and when you reply with links and quotes from Wikipedia rules explaining what makes something notable, they flat out ignore you. What's even funnier is when people join the discussion who aren't established editors and the editors/admins start throwing around terms like "sock puppet" and "meat puppet" to make your contributions to the discussion dismissible. They even go so far as to go back and change their opinion from "keep" to "delete" if they decide they don't like the people arguing for the side of keeping the article.
Wikipedia policy itself is a joke. They have rules and policies set forth to suit most editors' purposes, but when their agenda doesn't sit nicely with established policy, they pull this card out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:IAR

Have you picked up the component cables? It's the only way you can get 480p output. Otherwise, it's not going to look anywhere near as good as it's capable of displaying.
That's actually a great idea. For all of us a skinny nerds that need to focus on strength training, not cardio, putting on some velcro wrist weights and playing Wii boxing would be the perfect workout.
