This is something I created a few years ago when I realized "Why can't I just access/dev/stdin" Same thing goes for "/dev/ttSy*" or/dev/ There really is no reason why you can't access serial devices. Wait... there is a big ass plan to dredge the river to remove PCBs from the riverbed... so it seems that either:
Dredging the river will decimate the shipwrecks
or salvaging the shipwrecks will spread PCBs back into the river, which is one of the big problems with dredging
