Amazon doesn't charge tax in California. Source: Me, I buy tons of shit on amazon and live in California. Prime costs $72 a year. I easily save that much in a year, probably double or triple that plus I get free 2 day shipping. I also get the most amazing service from Amazon. You don't get that from Target. Just last week I ordered some DVDs and one of them was missing, not only did I get a refund for the DVD, they refunded my entire order and sent me a link to reorder the item that was missing.
Or thereabouts. By 2100 we'll be back down to 7 billion and it won't be because of a pandemic or zombies. Population growth is naturally slowing down. It may seem like 1 billion was a lot but relative to recent growth it's actually slowing down. The math is done in one of them fancy overpopulationisamyth videos.
Except that if you look at the graph on the linked materials you can see that human emissions don't correlate at all with the total measured CO2 levels in the atmosphere, not even close.
Your friend most likely inserted an unsupported memory card. They have had trouble with memory cards. I've had a Focus since they were released and only rebooted one time.
I work for a large software security firm. Many of our devs have macs and we're getting more and more people using them as their primary. All of them are using the mac to emulate Windows 7 so they can do their actual work.
Valve is a "tremendously profitable" company. They don't owe anybody a game every x number of years. I personally love Steam and I only buy games through Steam.
Add more than 5 maximum score points and give more points to moderators with better karma. Allow users with good karma to assign more than just 1 moderator point to a particular post and allow moderation to be done at any time (not randomly or at timed intervals). Allow negative moderation in the same way and demote karma based on negative moderation. Detect users who frequently up vote each other to avoid a situation where a small user base could promote each other into good karma. Give diminishing returns from up voting the same users.
Totally agree and I'd like to add that outsourcing will eventually reach a point of saturation. It's already getting there. There are only so many people who can do these tech jobs, especially at the higher level. A lot of visas are going to European or Asian people who expect to get paid just as much. The problem is lack of skills in this area, not lack of jobs. Or perhaps it has something to do with unwillingness to relocate.
I read a lot of positive reviews when it came out, which is why I bought one and they turned out to be right on. Does it have room for improvement? Certainly. But I'm really enjoying the phone so far and as far as the basic UI goes it is easier to use and more responsive than any Android or iPhone that I've used.
I never used a Windows phone in the past. My daughter had one and it was terrible but the Windows Phone 7 looked really appealing and it turned out to be a great buy. I bought the Samsung Focus so I can't speak to the other phones but as far as the quality of the user experience it's better than iPhone and Android. The UI is extremely responsive and very easy to use. Obviously the market place isn't as big as Android or iPhone but it's getting there. There are some really great games that rival PC games for enjoyability. My only big complaints is there's no way to upload videos directly to facebook and there's no goodlink or EMM support yet.
As a person who has fixed more relative's and friend's computers than I care to mention I have to say I think we need a union.
On a related note, I remember one time, about 10 years ago when I was working at a small PC shop. A customer came in and their windows install was hosed. The owner's daughter was the one who used the computer most. This 16 year old did her best to use her 'wiles' to convince me to somehow transfer all of her warez to the new install I was going to do for them. It was so easy to say no. I hope I held back my smirk well enough. Pay for your software.
I wouldn't use VS for PHP. I use notepad++. VS2010 is great. For editing xml and xsl I find it useful and for integration with Team Foundation Server it's awesome. You can create user stories, link tasks then export to excel or MS Project. You can make edits in Project and then send those changes back up to TFS.
But...but...but...surrender monkeys? Come on, its not like only a couple centuries previous they had an Empire that spanned all of Europe....created the symbol of liberty of the United States and if not for their help the colonists would never have defeated the British....... Wuuuuut?
McAfee has dozens of products, many of which are first in their class. Ever heard of EPO? McAfee is everywhere in the corporate world and Risk and Compliance Software is really taking off.

I foresee a move to Mexico in his future.

And the answer is 42.

Problem solved.

Please tell me that was sarcasm.

I have the Samsung Focus and the UI is extremely responsive.

I have it on good authority that all claims are rejected the first time through.
