That is a bunch of shit and you know it. So some how he would only be appalled enough to leave the USA if the margin in Florida (which time and time again fell in Bush's favor) was bigger?
You know that he meant "If Bush becomes president..."
Just take it for what it was; a stupid celebrity, has flair for the dramatic, blowing off a lot of hot air. He never gave that thought any consideration, he was just saying words. They live in a different universe than the rest of us.
Ignore the comment above. If you are an engineering student, DO NOT BUY A TI83! Go for a Ti92 or Ti89. Believe me when you can't figure out a hardass integral your 89 can be a great crutch (it made a one letter grade difference in Calc 2)
I bet you could solve the distribution problem by not thinking that we need to build seperate dispensing stations but rather seperate pumps at standard gas stations. It should be an interesting to see how this unfolds:)
So by those standards would a...oh say, credit card be a drive? It stores information and is read from.
What about my punch card for a free sandwich after you buy 12 (only 7 more to go!). They put a hole in it, it is then read back before they punch another hole in it signifying another purchase.
I heard that French wine (red wine) uses cow blood to give it color. If so, I'll stick to Spanish, Italian or good old homegrown stuff, thank you very much!
Plus, if copyrights ever due expire, some work may become popular because of its free status. Then you will have its former owner bitching that they got screwed! Even though it was freeing the work that allowed a renewed interest.
Of course, Mickey Mouse is trademarked so he can't be used for any other purpose.
When I say that all older movies are worth protecting I mean...
When you have to make room on your hard drive, you start by deleting large video files, or the like. You won't start deleting text files. However, if you deleted all of your text files, that might show up as significant.
...capacitors charge exponentially. They never full charge but after five time constants we say it is completely charged....profits from contents decay over time (exponentially?). They never fully capitalize on their potential, but after 15 years most content has made most of its money.
So why do content holders insist on 90+ years? I can think of three reasons:
1. There is still money to be made occasionally from historic pieces.
2. They fear free content would divert consumers from newer content.
3. While individual movies aren't worth protecting, the set of all older movies is.
If ITunes catches on with Apple, maybe we will see IMovies, ITV etc.
Yes, but how many people were "psyched" for this? I personally never heard about it until 12 hours after the launch (most people would be even later). Did they only let computer owners buy the cd? Of those did they only let 2% buy them?
I can't wait for this to hit windows. I have a little bit of a guilty conscience that I have downloaded so many songs for free. I will probably redownload from Itunes the some of the songs I have not bought. I still buy roughly the same amount of CDs now as I did ere P2P, but I have been exposed to at least 10 bands that are really great that I now support financially.
Weel, it is danish, and a rough translation would be "Will I see You? I certainly think I will!"
Mine was not even close:p Though I must have had a brain fart, as I remember Vi Ses meaing "See ya later!"
It's not a good translation, but catches the essence of it. The line is the closing line from a danish comedyshow. It is probably funnier if you know and like the show. I was hoping to get some reactions from other danes on this one, but I'm not a very active poster so your response is the first!
How about that;)
FYI danish and norwegian is quite similar, it is remnants from the time when Norway and Sweden was ruled by the Danish king.
As evidenced by the fact that I didn't know which I was reading:D which happens often actually. Learning a little Norwegian let me use Danish sources for a report on Hans Christian Ørsted.
BTW Where did you learn Norwegian?
I visited Norway 3 years ago for a week. I was really impressed with the country, and the scenery was the best I had ever seen.
Plus, the chicks are hot, koldtbords rule, and Freia Melkesjokolade alone is calls me in the night.
It was actually France, specifically the French that made me want to learn Norwegian. In both countries I made an effort, albeit little (Takk, Vaer så god, etc), to speak the language. In Norway, I was welcomed with open arms wherever I went. Whereas in France, they would look at me in a scowling manner.
I thought that if any group of people, like the Scandinavians), are so welcoming and friendly, I should make an attempt to learn their language for future visits.
Inflation?
Yeah, that's the problem!

And eventually it will come to the United States! Just like the way the Metric Sys...oh wait

The TI89 is WORTH IT!

What about using an MP3 recorder that utilizes "what you hear" as the istream?

Again, they are not banning anything! They are simply trying to prevent minors from purchasing it.
Minors do not have a bill of rights. Which is while if you make a 12 year old attend class, it is considered commendable.
Do the same with an adult and it is kidnapping.

Interesting, that reminds me of a certain book I once read...
:D
"It warn't the grounding--that didn't keep us back but a little. We
blowed out a cylinder-head." (huck finn)
"Good gracious! anybody hurt?" (aunt sally)
"No'm. Killed a nigger."
"Well, it's lucky; because sometimes people do get hurt.
I have a feeling this won't be modded funny

However, this is definitely a drive.

Actually I did, you're right. Only scandinavians would get it anyway...possibly jews also?

Yup, that's what I was talking about. I guess I was wrong :p

This is offtopic but does your signature translate to: What do we say? I think it is more important what we do.
;))
My Norwegian is not very good, but when ever I see something written, I try to translate it(a learning mechanism).
(Apologies if that was Danish
