  2. Moon on Next Goals For The ESA · · Score: 3, Insightful

Looking at the ESA site, if we're thinking of going back to the moon soon and possibly bringing back a bunch of old Apollo systems, why don't we buy some of the ESA's ATV's and slap on a larger booster? seems like it'd be a nicer ride (once modified) than the old Apollo craft. With the added bonus of being a spacecraft that is actually in production (no need to try and re-invient the wheel).

So does anyone know which bill in congress this actually is? I'd like to sound somewhat educated when I write my representatives by being able to reference the actual bill and/or passage that seems to be so troubling.

Also, if anyone has a generic letter written for this issue, they should post it here to help encourage everyone to use it and write more of there representatives.

  13. RTFA on HP Thailand Sells $450 Linux Laptop · · Score: 1

Using Linux over Windows really isn't what is making these laptops much cheaper (though yes the MS tax is gone now). The reason these laptops are this cheap is because the Thai government is subsidizing (sp?) the cost of the hardware, creating a "peoples computer." So nothing really new here in the world of competition, just something one government like any other could do.
