First of all, it's not a guess...there is some hard science behind that number. The fact that we cannot prove the number does not mean it is arbitrary either.
Second - "Fact - The existence of Jesus Christ is generally accepted by all scholars." Where on earth did you get that kind of a statement??? There's no hard evidence of any kind that indicates there is any truth to this. There is more physical and documented evidence supporting King Arthur than J.C.!
Third...aethiesm is as much faith based as believing in a spiritual diety. Aethiesm states that "there is no god". Well, unless you have scientific proof there is no god, then you are basing your belief on faith.
You say you're not very sympathetic to him because he "disobeyed orders"??? Is this guy in the military? Unless there is a clear cut dress code or policy, a manager telling me to take of my hat without a VERY good reason (i.e. the hat interferes with me doing my job) they can go spit!
We had teachers like that in high school...where there was a dress code, but even then there are lines that are not crossed, and verbal abuse would be one of them. Allow me to digress a little...I had a gym teacher who made a habit of phsically hitting the hats off peoples heads from behind without any warning or request to remove it. After graduation I purposely wore a hat when visiting the school on official business. When the inevitable happened I reacted by grabbing the teacher and threw him on the floor (I've been a practicing ju-jitsu student for about 15 years). I further threatened to press charges for assault. From what I hear he actually received an official reprimand from the school...hehehe
Anyway...my point is that this was not "asinine", especially if this guy thought the boss was doing it out of spite in an attempt to create an atmosphere of hostility and intimidation. I encourage him to press ahead and seek legal counsel to determine his possibilities of success. This process takes time and money from the employer as well and they often settle before it reaches court because it's cheaper for them to do so.
I'm a veggie, but I don't think much of the atkins diet...not because of my vegetarian ethics, but simply because I appreciate my fully functioning kidneys just as they are thanks:)
I actually do tech support for this company, and to be honest, if you are running in a stable environment (read...competent IT) then problems are extremely rare. Most of the problems I see are usually the result of poor IT practices, no QA and generally an uneducated admin. I'll be the first to say that there are issues, but RIM does generally resolve them really quick.
For those who have them, the BlackBerry infrastructure and service was also functioning fine. Although the voice/email functionality was affected, the PIN to PIN abilities were unimpeded. Basically the same as during 9/11.
Big deal...your an english major. And although it is technically a word (as your quote from Dictionary.com shows), Miriam-Wbster's dictionary suggests using "regardless" instead.;)
"usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead. "
Canada, with 1,700 billion barrels, has one of the largest resources of oil sands and heavy oil in the world. The bulk of Canada's resources are classified as oil sands, with no commercial inflow to a well at reservoir conditions. In contrast heavy oil, which forms a smaller portion of Canada's resources, has primary production.

On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the United States of America. We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry. I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but, it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it's not like you actually elected him. I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own. I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defense I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours. I'm sorry we burnt down your white house during the war of 1812. I notice you've rebuilt it! It's Very Nice. I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer but, we Feel your Pain. I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons. And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this. We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with. Thank you.
I don't give a crap if a person loses their child due to their own stupidity regarding guns(except for the kid of course)...I'm scared of the kid who takes that gun to school and takes out someone else while "playing". THAT is a good reason for this type of technology.
I used to live in England and I had about 20 of the original figures, not to mention the first 10+ Star Wars comincs that came out. I hadn't even opened them (the comics) to read as I really wasn't that interested in them at the time (I was 5..gimme a break!). Anyway...long story short, I gave them to a buddy in an old bag when we moved to Canada...yes...Oh...the pain!
The BlackBerries are great products! I've never had a problem with the holster (short of jamming myself in the ribs when I sit down, but that's just a matter of positioning and happens with cellphones, pages, etc...). Anyone I know who has busted their holster usually were simply too rough with it.
The costs involved...steep, but that's partially dictated by the wireless carriers, and not just RIM. Also, every device since the 5810's has been using the GSM/GPRS network (about a YEAR now)and they just released a new product (http://www.blackberry.net/products/blackberry6710/index.shtml) that they call a world-band device, utilizing the GSM/GPRS networks across North America, Europe and Asia without having to switch or roam.
As for running on Windoze CE, your are totally incorrect. The BlackBerry OS is proprietary and runs on it's own hardware. Yes some companies (such as COMPAQ) can modify the OS to run on their hardware (hence the Compaq IPAQ BlackBerry), but if they screw up, blame them:)
Saturation...they also have a carrier based web client solution or internet edition...again, pricey, but it ain't just for CEO's anymore...
If you know of any other device that allows me to get my mail delivered to me anywhere (while in coverage of course) without having to manually connect and download it (and not SMS garbage), I'd be very interested.
As for reliability...look at this from 9/11;
"Portable wireless e-mail devices, particularly the Blackberry from Research in Motion (RIM) of Waterloo, Ontario, got rave reviews for reliable performance. Blackberry pagers connect to the Internet through wireless data networks operated by Cingular Wireless of Atlanta and Motient Corp. of Reston, Va. There were remarkable stories of Blackberry owners who used the technology to evacuate employees and stay in touch when no other communications technology was available." from http://www.tvtechnology.com/features/Net-soup/f-fb -whatworked.shtml.
Perhaps you have a hard time with it because you didn't do your research?
The evidence that they presented is pretty lame, but this was a show for the layperson and doesn't go into a lot of detail. There is actually a significant amount of forensic and historical evidence that suggests that the people who built the pyramids weren't slaves at all...most of it gleaned from examination of bone material. Again though...I concure that the evidence they presented on the show was pretty lame:)
And you don't think that you have a class based government now???
When was the last time joe schmoe from the street ran for president with more than a snowballs chance in hell? Sure you can have your three ring circus candidates, but they don't have a chance becasue they don't have the money!

Actually...I once read a study in uni. (unfortunately I can't provide references) that indicated that women DO have more accidents but they are usually fender benders and attributed to more women driving at lower speeds (i.e. local). The study also stated that although men have fewer accidents, they have a higher incident of fatal accidents and/or greater damage due to higher rates of speed, as it seems men do more driving on the highways than women.
The spokesperson stated that they would have to use the appropriate legal channels to use ML...does this mean that they have to have a warrant to install the trojanon suspect systems? If so, how do they target that particular system, especially if they are using IDS's? I can see how they could force a major corporation (such as Microsoft) to bundle the trojan with a patch/SP which everyone who runs that system would use, but again, if they have to get a warrant to install it, it becomes impossible to target a specific system for install...

His point was nonetheless, valid. Unlike your own personal attack.
It seems that a windowns crash actually resolved this problem :)

You completely invalidate any position you had (or thought you had) by making the comment you just did. I love ignorant people..they so funny.

Forgot to mention...it also isn't exclusively Exchnage based...Their Enterprise Server also works with the Lotus Domino mail system.

Am I clueless here?
A true IDS is comprised of both a network agent AND a host agent. One of you got the leg, the other got the ear.
