It's a myth that got perpetuated for a few reasons:
1. There was one case in Minnesota in 1988 where a ruling on an assault case was based on the defendant's martial arts experience.
2. Long before the US was familiar with something other than boxing, servicemen were supposed to register their martial arts training with their service. This was more about training QA.
3. A few high-profile boxing matches would have the contestants register with a sheriff as a deadly weapon - but it was a matter of publicity.
4. Some shady martial arts instructors offer to register their students, and produce a license card - all for a reasonable fee.
Obesity is something you *can* fix. It's not like cancer or something else where you have little to nothing control over it. You can just do it, if you really want to.
Depressionis something you *can* fix. It's not like cancer or something else where you have little to nothing control over it. You can just do it, if you really want to.
A toaster is something you *can* fix. It's not like cancer or something else where you have little to nothing control over it. You can just do it, if you really want to.
Wait, were you disagreeing? I can't tell.
If you're depressed or fat, and don't care for it, go get help.
Under the "Discussion" preferences, there are two options I've found helpful:
The first is "Retrieve (few|more|many) comments". I think "many" is the new default, and "few" was the old default. The switch is probably why turning it off and then back on loads all of the comments.
The second is "Get (highest rated|oldest) comments first". The default is "highest rated", which causes it to load the best comments, but then it scrambles to dynamically stuff subsequent comments where they fit. Switching to "oldest" loads the comments in order, eliminating the script that arranges things. This has reduced my load time to a few seconds, an improvement over almost a minute, excluded hanging scripts.
(Of course, if that doesn't help, there's always "Enable dynamic discussions = false"
Not quite, the majority of the people here not only don't read the article, they don't bother to read the summary they are responding to. Some don't even read the comments when they reply.
Indeed. That's why MSOffice is always backwards-compatible with earlier versions.
In general it is compatible - but only in one direction. You can load MSOffice n documents in MSOffice n+1 but not the other way around.
So, you don't lose any of your own data, and your information sources are still valid. Unfortunately, companies who rely on your data now need to upgrade or find another provider. Their backwards compatibility is like a checkvalve, forcing every customer in one direction if they want to stay in the game.
The new judge is connect socially to the judge they are reviewing. As you mentioned, the old judge requested them. That's bias enough, but it doesn't necessarily reflect on the group itself.
IIRC, it never worked like that. A mod point can only be spent once. If you mod somebody up, and then post in the same thread, the moderation disappears along with your mod point - you don't get it back.
A byte is a one-dimensional, eighth-order, array of bits.
Of course, bits in this context are discrete units of information only capable of providing one of two values. This method is interesting because the "bits" are capable of providing 5 pieces of unrelated, non-interfering, pieces of data. It's perfectly acceptable to refer to it as an orthogonal, five-dimensional datum, regardless of the lack of separation in space or time, and that they are not at 90 degree angles.
No, I just don't take laws in every state before 1972 to mean the federal government.
FTFY
Or does an article about the federal government doing the "same as usual" quantify all state governments underneath it. If you think it does, then you should look into the structure of the US a little more and learn a few things.
I have taken your advice and I've discovered that the United States Supreme Court is a part of the Judicial Branch of the Federal Government!
The federal government has not told people who they can sleep with period.
doctors will prescribe the latest (expensive) drug to a patient when a generic does the job just as well
If the solution even requires a generic... I went in for bronchitis, and I came out with a prescription for a generic antibiotic, and a prescription for Prilosec. When I looked it up later, it turned out to be a medication for heartburn! I also noticed that the logo was the same as the big, purple button on the lapel of the doctor's labcoat.:/
REALTOR: We'll sell this historic land for $1.6 million dollars CONDO BUILDER: I'll buy that REALTOR: Do you want us to demolish this historic site also? MUSEUM BUILDER: Oh hell no! $2 million!
Is lithium still popular as an anti-depressant, or has it fallen out of favor now that the patents have expired?
It used to be the treatment for depression and bipolar disorder, but IIRC, the long-term health effects from regular consumption are devastating. It's still possible to get a prescription, but not with ease.
How about something like this?

They are not!
Me and Steve Jobs shove iPhones up each other's asses for fun.
Steve Jobs and I.
That means it's between midnight and noon.
Isn't everything? :)

Stop picking your nose!
The law doesn't effect normal people.
Well, as long as a law doesn't affect normal people, there's no problem!
I would suggest not attempting to bash the US federal government in your next attempt.
The US federal government is full of beans.

Unless you work for them, then it's still illegal.
At least not United States of America.
Nope. It could never happen here.
I don't ever remember the government attempting to say who you could sleep with,
Then you must be younger than 6.

Geez....how are they gonna convince someone to let them load this crap on their computer?
Funny mouse cursor?
My take on it was:
REALTOR: We'll sell this historic land for $1.6 million dollars
CONDO BUILDER: I'll buy that
REALTOR: Do you want us to demolish this historic site also?
MUSEUM BUILDER: Oh hell no! $2 million!
If we could just make them stand in the corner for a decade or two, until they learn to play nice with others.
It worked on my 7 year old nephew.
I take it he was 7 when he started?
My son came back from his classes in favor of a second term for Bush. It didn't really matter because he was 5.
