...which it considers to be very popular in future.
This is what happens when a marketer gets hold of a time machine. They don't travel to the future to find the cure for cancer or aids, they travel to the future to see if their latest line of watches are popular. Bastards.
...when I saw it has about a 50% thumbs up rating on cnet. Alot of people were having issues with it. And if the odds are that 1 out of 2 people will have a problem, I know which one I get to be.
Operating costs aren't cheap. If they had 200 employees at $50,000, that would cost them close to a million a month. Add on travel, building, heating costs, advertising, it all adds up pretty quick.
And if you aren't selling anything, it disappears fast. Just take a look at how much the dot bomb companies lost while forgetting that they needed to sell a product.
SCO has become one of those earlier companies. Now, we just have to wait and see how fast they burn through their cash, and if they get further investments from folks.
Not trying to be a Pro-MS guy, but... they may be slow due to other reasons. It probably has to go through 5000 lawyers first to make sure they won't get sued if they put the feature in.
Anyone recall MS trying to put a spam filter in outlook in 1999 and then getting sued because it filtered "greeting cards". Talk about a crap lawsuit...
I agree. This is a universal phone problem not limited to cell phones. However, at least normal people do this in their own homes rather than in public.
- When in a group in a restaurant or car and a person in your group is talking on the phone. This makes me mad because the normal tendency is that everyone else HAS to be quiet in order for the person to hear over the phone.
- Annoying ringers. I don't mind cell phones going off in public places, but why do people have to use the damn ringers that make me cringe?
- People talking on the phone while driving. I have seem more bad driving due to this than your ordinary dumb driver. I also love it when it's snowing, the roads are icy and people are driving around with one hand on the wheel and not paying attention to anything but their damn phone call.
- Who are people calling at 7am? Are they just calling the other folks on the road that have a cell phone?
And to think, I just may have become a hippocrit because I just bought a damn cell phone. Doh!
I actually think best buy is pretty good with the rebates. I did the shopping thing on the day after thanksgiving last year, and I received all my rebates. It's a pain, but you get some good deals.
As for this year, 4 UPS, 2x100 CDR's and 1 CDRW for the grand total of 25$. That's if I get all the rebates back. I'm fairly confident I will...
Maybe you should try Salt'n'Pepa instead.
Microsoft pioneered AJAX in OWA. They didn't understand its super powers until Google started coming out with their new uber-cool web toys.
I find it amusing that one has to check the personals nowadays to find something to ride ;)
Yes, but imagine all the Ramen you could buy with $144!! I think that might be a whole wharehouse worth of noodles....
Can I crash it into SCO?

Are we talking about skinny elvish, or fat elvish?
Google could just never bring up what I needed.
Sounds like maybe their tagline should be 'MSN: The little blue site'
404 error - Object Not found. That book changed my life
At the very least, they should turn it around and point it at some nude beaches.
if John Smallberries works there.
Original Plan:
1) Drive forward
2) Continue for 10 seconds
3) Stop.
PS: No 4) Profit on this one.
Only the first command made it through. Unfortunately, Spirit is now nearly halfway to the Opportunity landing site.
Maybe they tried to drive 11 feet with a 10 foot extension cord.
They're just checking for illegal aliens.
Unless of course, you were born with webbed hands.
IMHO, the A-Team midi on my phone is completely worth it. Screw NASA, give me more bad 80's TV themes!!!
Damnit! They're making it hard to decide between the RIAA or the SCO police jacket.

Maybe they should sign up for the OSDN singles...

That's why I found that 8-hour lunch breaks work the best for me.

That is about the same energy as exploding 175 tons of TNT per pea.
Hmmm, reminds me of the morning after a night out on the town.
