No, its more punishment. For her this basicly wipes out a large section of her professional career. She will find it a lot harder to find work after this.
I think thats probably due to the israeli's killing their reporters and carmera men. Its kind of a hard thing to get over experically when its all caught on film. Maybe another reason for it is there is a general anti-Israeli sentiment in british society. Note this is not the same an anti-semitism but related to the israeli-Palestinian conflict, which many find abhorrent.
Considering the amount of disagreements the BBC has had with the goverment of the day durin its time maybe it should be called an Anti-Propaganda Mode.:)
The BBC while not perfect is generally held to alot higher standard then other broadcasters, and I think that is something to be proud of.
Competent Management Most startups don't have such divided roles. If you only have 3 to 4 employies and one of them is a full time manager and nothing else, then your already doing something wrong (Spending money you don't need too).
Sales Ability Well I will agree with this one to a degree. Really it matches the one in the artical. Creating something people need, will make it much easier to sell it.
Money Well yes you need money, but as the artical says spend as little money as possible. If you do that, then you can wait longer while you create a good product.
Basicly here in the UK we have a massive amount of tax on fuel. Which is based as a percentage of the cost of that fuel. So when the world price goes up a bit, the price in the UK goes up massisily.
You would not be charged as braking a fiber that ran under you street would be non itentional and a reasonal person would not be expected to know where different wires/fibers/cables/pipes and such are under the street. Also a reason person would expect these lines to be a deep engough level that digging would not cause this problem.
The act of writing would not be the act that case the degradation of their computer system. The running of that code is.
Therefore by installing your software they did grant permission for that code to be run on their machine.
What is more intressting is this is one more stick to beat virus writers with. As by writing a virus and releasing that code is been run on machines with out permission and causing degradation to computers/networks not owned by the virus writer.
I see one problem, and that is that microsoft don't have domiance in the server market. So imagine that you are a simple windows user that surfs the web. You will get soon get pissed of with you new windows when it keeps telling you that nearly every website is inscure even those that say they are. I.e using SSL
That fact is that code red is worse than this worm. I will tell you why. Code Red (and CR2) spread its self with no user intervention. This worm needs a user to run the infected program. Also if I do run an infected binary, it will not infect/bin or anywhere else because I don't run as root.
Another reason this worm is not that bad is because it will not be creating the same type of bandwidth usage that code red and sircam did. Basically this worm/virus does shit unless you are that stupid to run a binary attachment that you get from someone you don't know.
No I think you are wrong as many other posters have pointed out there is a difference between avocating the GPL and agreeing with all of RMS views.
I think that nearly all software should be GPL'd but that doesn't mean that I agree with RMS that Linux should be called GNU/Linux. The how GNU/Linux is the FSF and RMS tring to get back the centre stage from the more modatert people. But then RMS needs to be extreme because that is the only way you get people to listen to you in the world. Everyone else just gets ignored.
I don't agree. I have ended up buying more CD's then before. Yes I have lots of music which I havn't paid for. But if I hear something that I like a lot I wan't the whole ablum.
So maybe about 50-60% of the music on my computer is stolen, but when I have bought about two times as many cds they should complain.
No, not really. :(
Slashdot the BBC, hahahahahahahahaha
I'd like to see that happen. Lol.
Some where on the BBC website is a diagram of their network design. Its huge.
I agree actually. Really is quite intresting.
Best Slashdot Article E.V.E.R.
Its a Bank Holiday in the UK. :)
What did you find?

Hum strange. I've played a cracked version in the past.
You really don't want to know. Motion, eat, oral, I think I need to go lie down and have a cup of Tea.
Hum,
I don't agree. Taking them in reverse order.

The first hit is free.
But the rest is going to cost you.

10Gigabit still woun't standand up to the slashdot effect
Most people run windows, that proves that system stability is not the most important thing in their minds.
I will be on the next fight out of here.
Just a thought. Imagine this. A mix of the UK servalence, US laws and china's govement.
