    DVD
You can buy a good player for under $100. Some even have HD upconversion for that price. You can buy a cheap DVD player for $15.
Everyone rents and new movies sell for $15.

    HD-DVD $300 min for a player. $25-$35 for a movie.
    Blu-Ray $450 min player, $25-$30 for a movie.
    Combo player $1000

The investment cost is enough that people don't want to pick the wrong format. If they would have settled on one format, more people would be buying even with the higher price point.

Now, if it was an ad that swooped down and covered the search results, I'd be annoyed and use a different search engine.

When I worked retail sales, you could tell what the tv ads were without seeing them because they work. People would come in and say I want to see the product in your ad. Whatever was in the ad, you would see a spike in customer interest and sales.

I've also seen plenty of people flip channels, turn the station, etc. and say "I hate that ad". When I ask what ad, they say "I don't know because I change it when that annoying ad comes on"

I have a mp3 file in my shared folder called rehab.mp3. This file is a copyrighted audio recording of my friend talking about rehab. RIAA using false pretext (and possibly violating the terms of use of the network) download this song. They check it and realize it is not the file they thought.

RIAA downloaded copyrighted material without the creator's permission.

I think I just figured out step 3.

If you're used to going to a lot of sites(bobsfreeporn.com and mikesfreeporn.com), using the sign-in isn't going to throw up a red flag at all.

SoundExchange, Klaus Meine, Calvin Broadus, Jr, and Amy Winehouse should keep their hands to themselves.

In this day and age, computing costs by individual song played shouldn't be a big deal.

I was going to play around with Joomla! and SMF, but the bridge had been discontinued.

For those who wonder why we have had to come to such a decision, we have had input from both the Joomla! project and the FSF directly, and it is the stance of both Joomla! and the FSF that the use of a bridge into a GPL-licensed system constitutes the creation of a combined work. This forced us to reconsider our development of the bridge and look for ways we could accomplish the task while still respecting the licensing of both projects. Ultimately, that proved impossible. When discussing with the FSF, they stated that the bridge and SMF would fall under the GPL license, and there is no workaround.

I didn't see it as a combined work, and I wanted the functionality to play around with so I caved and went with Mambo. (I use IceWeasel if that's any consolation)

While it is fairly easy to use, the way the default homepage is sorta hardwired was a little bit of an issue. As stated in other posts, the differences between components, modules, and even mambots isn't obvious or explained. Templates and layouts aren't hard to adjust if you're used to using CSS, though better doc in the default css pages would be helpful.

Sidenote: I had some issues with the bridge, but got it worked out. The instructions seemed to have left out a few things to check.
