    What I wonder, isn't this wh the subscribers get to see the stories early? seems like there's a failure here somewhere.

    maybe if a certain number of subscribers vote the post as a dupe, it gets pulled...?

    The funny thing is...
    (I've tested this too)

    I actually retain things much better when stoned.

    Actually, when sober I tend to develop symptoms of ADD, which I've shown since elementary school.

    I find smoking relaxes me, and I tend to be able to focus and work better.

    I've actually had managers encourage me to "light one up" before work, and have teachers tell me how much better, and how much faster I work when high.

    In fact, I'm high now. ;o)

    and to stay (somewhat) on topic:

    i think we will have to come to accept the fact that at one point, we need to part with our hardware. Imagine a car, an icebox, or a washing machine. Nothing has an infinate life span.

    My RS-80 still works like a charm though, and no...you can't have it ;o)

    in fact, i have excellent karma, and have had for some time

    and that post was mostly in jest (sarcasm)

    and if someone does post the article...im sure they will get a +5

    and not only that, i think the text SHOULD always be copied here...to relieve some of the stress on the poor people's boxen.

    Maybe not mirroring a complete page - images and whatnot can be left out..but copy the text..please?

    and im sure if one asked permission to copy the text...most places would appreciate not recieving a ./'ing

    hmmm sounds trollish, but I'll bite.

    like one poster already said, bus speeds don't ramp up overnight.

    maybe you are thinking of your 400mhz k6-2/3 ;oP

    intel is just as hot, if not hottor (i know someone will post the numbers)

    and move to a new architecture...why?

    they committed to the socket a, which I see as a Good Thing, as it provides a decent upgrade path for users. Unlike Intel...who knows whats coming next...maybe we'll see a hex-shaped socket ;oP

    Not to say they *should* stick with that socket architecture forever, gotta move on when it's slowing you down.

    Go look at some benchmarks, I don't think it's really slowing AMD down.

    As an aside...how many over-clockers are out there already running at 400+ mhz FSB?

    just curious.

    for a company (and owner) that are worth rediculous amounts of cash....what is the price of eliminating the competition.

    A 90% loss over 2.5 years...122 million...
    thats only 50 million a year...

    actually, i was thinking...as traffic increased to the sites, through the subscribers hits, wouldn't the tend to be more lickely cached by other people as well, and other sites, such as google?

    All I know of is what's in front of me now ;o)

    But seriously...I never really watch TV, ever.

    I don't even have cable, and could care less.

    Paying that much for basically non-stop advertising, and non-stop channel switching.

    Television just isn't all it's cracked up to be.

    Even most news anymore hits the web before you see it on TV. I can watch my movies, see the few shows I like (simpson's, anyone?) and enjoy my music. For me, a TV is just an added, unecessary expense.
