MOST people in the world have no business using computers. That AOL exists is proof of that.
Ya know, you're right. How about this? Those of us who know how to use computers can prove it with educational qualifications, or passing a standardized test. This entitles use to legitimately purchase a computer.
The rest of the world can use Web TV, or something similar. :-P

For crying out loud, the whole point of this article is that PCs don't come patched! In most cases, they don't even have the service packs applied.

True, and note that Macs come factory fresh with the latest patches installed. I checked a friend's new machine, and found that it was patched to 10.2.8 (the latest version at the time).

Nope, not true. Ellison took the original short stories and tied them together with a strong story thread. The original stories survive intact.

Unfortunately, this looks like it will be as bad as The Bicentennial Man adaptation that was made a few years ago with Robin Williams.
The best movie that will never get made is Harlan Ellison's I, Robot.
Get the book, read the script. It's the greatest movie you'll never see.

From what I've seen lately of viruses, spyware, and system stability of Windows machines, I think a migration would be best for the both of you.

Hardware - actually not bad, except Microsoft didn't design them!

PocketPCs - overpriced, underpowered, crap battery life.
