    Seriously?

How can you judge someone just by her appearance like that?

That the 'before' picture is much more appealing. She has nice eyes and an interesting, engaging face. She looks like someone who would be worth talking to.

The 'after' picture looks like a generic pretty-but-not-beautiful girl. She looks like she would be interested in shopping and hairstyles. The world would be very boring if everyone looked like that.

I'm not here to argue which picture is prettier but I know for sure that you can't make conclusions about her personality just by the way she looks. That's sexism, plain and simple. It's that type of attitude that keeps women in the workplace down.

IOW, most Chinese are content with their government because they know nothing different or because they have been indoctrinated with propaganda about their government. By the way, this applies to a lot of people all over the world, including Americans [1].

Propaganda or not, most Americans are certainly not content with their government. Both the president and congress have been polling under 50 percent approval for a long time now. RealClearPolitics has congressional disapproval at 71 percent.

Give me a break man. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that a forum for support of a disease be a safe place regardless of the security level. They don't need to put metal detectors at the door to a physical disease support group.

  13. Sickening on Griefers Assault Epileptics Via Message Board · · Score: 4, Insightful

As an epileptic, I find this absolutely sickening. Although I have a very mild form that is not photosensitive, this is a terrible act. For some, seizures do have a small risk of sudden death. When I was first diagnosed, I found these and similar message boards to be an absolutely invaluable resource in finding comfort and support for what is an often incurable and sometimes still stigmatized disease. For me, these forums will never feel like the same safe haven that they used to be.
