They don't even like to hire people full-time in order to avoid paying benefits like insurance, vacation, etc if they can help it. Most employees at the stores are part-time...
Granted, the design and work is awesome, but someone has waaaaay too much time on his hands.... needs to get married and have the missus bitching at him 'All you ever do is mess with those damn computers!!!!';)
I would like to build 2 and strap them to the side of my car for passing maneuvers. People would hear that buzzing noise and get out of the way!! What type of fuel do they use? Hopefully gasoline, then could just run two lines to them with a valve to shut them down when ready.:)

But one thing nobody has mentioned (or I haven't seen the comment yet )... even though you may be in the right pertaining to Title 17, you will still have to hire a lawyer to go to trial in the event you are sued, which is cost prohibitive to Joe Blow out there.
It is that intimidation factor that they rely on. A lot of cases are settled out of court or the defendant stops the alleged activity because litigation costs could potentially bankrupt the defendant.....
Desqview..... hadn't seen that software in a LONG time.... was one of the preferred OS's to run for BBS's... especially if you wanted to run more than two lines... I still have copies of OS/2 v 2.0 and Warp 3.0 (both the upgrade to Win 3.1 and the full version). I liked the system, but had to leave it due to no apps. Had to grit my teeth and buy Win95...
Damn skippy! I have done everything from working for Wal-mart as a stockman, factory work (Whirlpool - building temperature was around 105 F. in summer), and drove garbage trucks before I made it into IT. The line of work I am in now is GRAVY compared to all those!!! I ain't complaining! Right now sitting on my a** watching over a server room surfing Slashdot and getting paid to do it!
I shudder to think how many dollars I spent on that game back then. Eventually I got good enough to finish it on the first try and not get killed. I loved the final scene where you could get a good look at Daphne (grrrrowl!). Yea, the play quality stunk and mainly consisted of timing and patterns, but the video and music were awesome!
Our company is currently having HP go thru all of our PC's out in our facilities (Compaq Deskpro EN Small Form Factor)and replace all the Fujitsu hard drives due to the contamination issues. We had replaced several hundred before they started this current replacement program. And now some of the new ones are failing!!!!
I....can't resist...the...urge to say...can't stop it.....grrr....."IMAGINE A BEOWULF CLUSTER OF THESE AROUND YOUR BELT!!!!"....there...whew! I feel better now......
Yeah, most posts are by Michael(5 stories), Cliff, and CowboyNeal. I have submitted stories only to have someone else submit the exact same story later and get it accepted. Time to remove this site from my favorites list!
I especially love at the end of the show where Frank lost count of the quarters he put in and had to hit the coin return! All you could hear was coins falling during the credits:)
Naw, by that time, we'll have warp drive capability and photon torpedos (shows you what Sci-Fi show I like!) And the Borg will probably assimilate them by then. Or maybe Microsoft will assimilate the Borg, who are then assimilated by the RIAA.:)
I've said it once and I'll say it again....someone has waaaaaay too much time on their hands.... :)
Put it in a blender and hit 'Liquefy' :)
Hopefully you are not tied down by a non-competition agreement with your current employer.

I wonder what a Beowulf cluster of these would do in the 1/4 mile? :)
Looks like a German software group is also PO'd with SCO. See this ...link....

Need to scan his body for chroniton particles, that would confirm he was a time traveler. :) ...A little Trek humor, there...

We're losing packet containment! Warp Core Buffer-overrun breach imminent! :)
Damn! I had moderator access last week! Shoulda held onto those points until today!
If you read Dilbert, PHB refers to 'Pointy-haired bosses', that only care about themselves and looking good in front of superiors and sub-ordinates.

Or maybe they were put up on the roof to hold it in place (like they do old tires around here?) Our VPN service with them has been down all day..

Good point... I hadn't considered that. It may take awhile for stories to be considered for posting...given the probable volume of submissions....

If I read the article right, the flywheels were not on the train itself, but in a box connected into the circuit.
