No. You buy a book - your have the right to the book, that instance or copy. You own that particular book just not the right to disseminate copies. Software, movies or music? DRM in combination with DMCA (and analogous laws elsewhere) effectively removes every right other than paying someone. Even in places where users are theoretically able to do things those are removed, even when copyright owners are unfairly compensated for theoretical economical losses - e.g. Sweden.
DRM and DMCA is a combination that creates a new economical serfdom where one have a right to pay for a service without being able to expect to be provided that service.

Two blocks: conservative right, liberal right. Both have right wing politics, both are generally conservative. Both are seen internationally strongly nationalist. The left groups are very small as are the far right* groups, neither of those have much of a representation. Even though Trump is said to have legitimized far right politics it isn't generally true, he have however pushed some issues/opinions that are shared with many far right groups - but that isn't the same thing.

Multiple file systems: Windows as used in real world systems use NTFS, ReFS with optional and probably not relevant exFAT, FAT32, (FAT16, FAT12 - if that's still supported). Multiple distributions: the differences aren't relevant other than the use of ReFS. Multiple desktops: doesn't exist. Multiple init systems: doesn't exist. Multiple kernels: the likelihood that Dropbox uses anything that changes between the supported kernel versions is pretty damn close to zero,
for the rest? Windows uses a stable driver ABI. Last time there were a change in driver architecture was with Windows Vista, not that it would make a difference.
TL;DR It is very significant if Dropbox depends on those things.

If that's not confusion it's a changing of goalposts strategy trying to hide the problem this article claim exists: that of Google being irresponsible opening up for Android users to be targeted.

The worlds most detailed underwater maps are used by the US and Russian submarine fleets. Being of strategic significance parts of those maps are reasonably kept private or at least obfuscated. The most significant parts of those maps are parts close to the borders of strategically significant countries - that is coastal areas. The reason is simple: knowledge of such features enables submarines to hide more efficiently and for the other side to find those hiding submarines easier.

The problem is how they expect to expand in the future. Slow improvements to FD-SOI manufacturing? Still need development costs, still need skilled researchers and technicians. They can't just kick them all out now and expecting them to come crawling back when GF decides they need them.
Maybe this is the only real alternative if GF is to survive in some form. Well, time will tell.
