Funny, I've not gone without work for over 14 years. Nor have I have not been able to buy the latest toy I've wanted. I don't have a single cert. Hell I don't have a single degree. Certs and degrees mean "verifiably trainable" that's about it.

If the idiots doing the hiring are basing it on certs and not skills then you really don't want to work there. Who wants to work with a bunch of talentless hacks?

Gee with quotes like: By who? The probability is by US snipers," he said.

and: Asked whether these were warning or attacking shots, he said: "One was shot two or three times - a sniper does not shoot an ambulance three times by mistake."

Is the driver dead? Then it wasn't a sniper and certainly not a US sniper shootig at it. Doing so would violate international law and the uniform code. US soldiers have the felxilbity to disobey orders that are clearly illegal.

If they were warning shots, why didn't the ambulance driver turn back? If you're getting warnign shots fired at you and you continue to do whatever caused the warning shots in the first place you have no right to complain.

The whole aritcle is a bunch reports of people being shot at while in the US controlled areas. So therefore it MUST be US. I mean it's not like the Iraqis would ever harm an innocent right?

As for HDTV, you must be something wrong if you're stuck with a 4:3 picture. If you're in Linux land it's time to learn about modelines. If you're in Widnows land try "Powerstrip".

MythTV does automatic commercial detection and skipping. It uses blank frame and scene change detection, and there's currently a logo detetion mode in the CVS tree. You have the option to automaticly skip marked commcerials, or just notify you of them (so you can hit a button and skip over them). It works suprisingly well on the show I record.

With the built in editor you can convert marked commercials to "cut points" that are honored when you convert your recording to MPEG4 thus saving even more space.
