I'd shave off my beard. As much cash as possible from the bank, eat well, then die happy. There is nowhere to run, the Govt does not respect boundaries if they want you band enough.
I'd mod this up, but I can't, so I'll add a note in the hope that it may catch someone's eye. Personally, paper is still ahead of e-readers, and there is the live social experience of going to a Library or bookshop, second-hand or otherwise. If I wanted an e-reader it would have to have a 10" screen, 'cause I find 7" screens too small.
It isn't new, and it isn't an iPone app bug, it's the way the SMS system was built. The process that most SMS pin things work is that you are accessing the bank via another means and the bank sends you a pin via SMS, faking the sender serves no purpose. Sending an SMS requesting your details should be ignored, like similar emails. The researcher who 'discovered' the bug needs to learn about GSM and SMS.
It looks more like a giant iPad on a stand, it doesn't look like an iMac. The article is about hardware and not building a Hackintosh, so please read the article before posting. It Looks like what it is, a cheap housing for a small format motherboard, and it sounds OK to me. I would like to have seen a complete price breakdown too. No optical drive? interesting trend?
I do similar, but a few years ago there was no choice, it was only 3 questions.... as your Facebook email contains you FB ID, so you can also get a head start on cracking FB accounts, thanks to Facebook.
Not backing up data, able to get Amazon account data with 2 phone calls, able to get an Apple/Google/whatever password reset with just a little bit of work. They could have also stolen his CC statement from his mailbox, as well as a Utility bill and got part of the way to getting a new credit pin or drivers license and after a bit of time a new passport. This sort of hacking is not new, just different. Once the security questions used to be the standard 3, your mums maiden name, your city of birth, and your first pet/car/whatever, now the answers are often on-line or traceable via Facebook. The blame should be shared amongst everyone, including the person who did the hacking. Excuse me, I have to backup my computers.
it's not actually a keyboard, it's a big touchpad, using it as a keyboard is just one of the functions, and that's the difference between Surface and the prior art. Apple is covering it's ass to stop the cloners from doing the same. The concept is nice, but I still like a real keyboard.
It's sad when a mind degrades to this point. Dolly, IIRC, was one success in hundreds of failures, and had a pretty short and painful life. What's next? have Queensland leave the commonwealth?
3 million Lemmings marching towards locked software, and I liked Apple...once. The shame is that there is little alternative, Win8, yer that'll be great, Linux?, only if they ever get their act together.
if they did this to prove a point, they could have just posted a sample of the data, but no, they reveal everyones data and show they have as little respect for people as the companies that they target.
I have changed boards in old drives, and I have had drives that worked after I cooled then down. The secret is, once you get them working, back up all of the data that you can get off them, and then THROW THEM OUT! You are kidding yourself if you think that a repair drive is OK.
It'll be second rate and fail. It's not because MS is bad at this sort of thing, it's because it can't concentrate of the user, and UI consistency, it doesn't need to be distracted by hardware design. There are still stupid differences in the way the parts of the Office suit work, and the UI should work the same way. An MS made tablet will be second rate because it isn't new, it isn't wanted. Just supply the software and let people who know how to build hardware do their job, MS has been doing it this way from the beginning, why change now?
I understand the concept, just don't figure that text rendering should need to be benchmarked, it is the most basic PC display function. (a hint of sarcasm here)
If the beta was anything to go on then hardware support is tight. Although it will work(?) of any iCPU (i5 etc) and they have been building then for a couple of years, it may not run on your trustily old Core 2 Duo. $20? I'm not upgrading just yet.
Uniloc has been in business and producing product for a long time, I don't think that Patent Troll fits the bill, Does Mindcraft (lol) need to be targeted? dunno.
based on that logic, MS office should be free. As the most popular software around, why should I have to buy a copy. or Why pay royalties for the song "Happy Birthday"? Let Google start the Ball rolling and see how far it goes.

I have a ThinkPad, they are very nice to use, and I'd buy the new one, but it comes with Windows....

the user has the power, if you don't like it, then don't buy it!
it is a stunt by Blizzard to draw attention to the upcomong expansion pak for WoW, which involves a floating island.

because they only have to make it work for one Linux distro. It is easier for non-Linux people to build gaming machines. YES, DO IT!

you are mixing stuff up, very badly. '4G' LTE is an overall product, CDMA or WCDMA is a only a wireless system.

you need/use hardware graphics to RENDER TEXT??? sorry, I was going to buy Win8 but I'll hang onto XP a little longer.
What a laugh! I read the article, but it still makes me smile. one of their own ranks, doing this for 'fun'.
